Chapter 10

Conrad's POV

When realization hits me I immediately fix my composure and when our eyes met I let out a deep breath.

"Pretend as if nothing happened," I uttered then passed by her but before I could fully walk away Atasha held my hand.

"Why are so afraid to be weak?" she asked while looking at me with her eyebrows furrowed.

"If you were in my shoes you won't ask that question," I responded then forcefully removed her hand.

"You are a human Conrad you should recognize your emotions," she uttered but I ignored her and headed towards my room.

I lay on my bed and then stared at the ceiling.

I let out a deep breath and after a while, I felt my eyelids getting heavy.

Everything became dark and after a while, I heard his voice.

I heard Ethan's voice.

A smile appeared on my lips when I saw him running towards me.

"Conrad," he called my name with a smile plastered on his lips but in a snap, he fell on the ground bathed with his blood.
