Alexis looked straight at Adrian's castle which was in front of her right now. She had made up her mind to stay with Adrian in the castle from now on. Alexis has even taken care of her transfer letter from the dormitory that she has lived in for two years to the campus. And yes, taking care of all that stuff takes time which turns out to be pretty quick. So that in the afternoon, Alexis could pack all her belongings in the room, and of course Adrian helped her to do it quickly. Adrian even brought another car of his which was quite large, to load all of Alexis' belongings to his castle.

“This is my room. Of course you already know about it. But, I want you to occupy the room next door from my room. Think of it like your own room yeah.” Adrian explained as he opened the door to the room which was just to the left of his room.

Alexis was silent while following Adrian's steps who started to enter the room there. Alexis paid close attention to the atmosphere in the room now. The room was very spacious, with a beautiful vintage interior, a bed with curtains on the side, a large window that connected directly to the balcony, and many other beautiful things that Alexis couldn't even imagine before. Alexis even subconsciously started walking along every side of the room.

Meanwhile, Adrian, who was still standing near the door of the room, had been looking at Alexis for a long time with his fascinated eyes. How not, when Alexis walked through the room, the reflection of the sun hit her body, and made her look even more charming. Maybe .... because she is a human who has the blood of vampire hunters. But I can't lie at all, if Alexis is really very charming. Adrian's mind spoke.

"Adrian." Alexis called Adrian while starting to walk closer to Adrian.

"Yes?" Adrian answered in a whisper.

“This room is very beautiful, Adrian. In fact I've never had a room like this before. Thank you so much for all of this, Adrian. I don't know how to repay all of this to you." Alexis said with a big smile.

"There's no need to do anything, Alexis. I'm glad that you like this room. And yes, I will help you to carry all your things to this room. Now, just rest. Okay?" Adrian answered in the end with a smile on his face.

Alexis nodded her head slowly. Adrian began to turn his body, and walked so fast leaving Alexis in the room. Alexis sighed. It had never occurred to her all this time to live with someone else. Moreover, a stranger who turns out to be a vampire. Alexis never had a good relationship with other people. She had never even been in a relationship before. Alexis walked slowly towards the bed and sat on it. Her mind began to wander, and her eyes stared at the door to the room which was still open. Waiting for the arrival of Adrian who brought his belongings which were still in the car. Alexis sighed with an uncontrollable heartbeat.

But is it possible if the relationship that Adrian and I have right now can be said to be dating? Alexis thought to herself.

Alexis descended the stairs towards the kitchen inside the castle. By wearing thick clothes and a bag that she slings over her right shoulder. She's ready to go to work. Since Adrian helped her tidy up all her belongings in the room, Alexis couldn't find Adrian anywhere. Alexis herself didn't dare to go into Adrian's room at all, so she didn't know. But when Alexis smelled the aroma of cooking, Alexis was sure that Adrian was in the kitchen area now.

"Adrian?" Alexis started calling.

"Yes, Alexis? I'm in the kitchen." Adrian answered with a little shout.

Alexis also accelerated her steps to go down the stairs and walk towards the kitchen. There, Alexis saw Adrian who put the dishes and drinks that he made on the dining table. Adrian looked up and looked confusedly at Alexis. “Alexis, do you want to go somewhere?” Adrian asked.

Alexis nodded her head slowly. "Yeah, it's almost my shift at the restaurant." Alexis replied explaining.

"Then, eat first, after that I will escort you." Adrian said while pulling a chair for Alexis to sit there.

Alexis also obeyed Adrian's words there, and sat on the chair that Adrian had prepared for her. Likewise with Adrian who sat next to Alexis. They both enjoyed the food. Even though Adrian can no longer taste anything other than blood, for Alexis the food that Adrian had just cooked there was delicious enough for her.

The vibration on Alexis' cell phone instantly made Alexis and Adrian stop their activities. Immediately, Alexis took her cell phone from her bag and opened it. Adrian looked curiously. Not long after, Alexis put her cell phone back into her bag, and continued her eating activities. "Did you get a message, Alexis?" Adrian suddenly asked. Couldn't stop himself from asking at all.

Alexis looked up and shook her head slowly “No, just an update on tomorrow's weather forecast. And there is a possibility that tomorrow, it will be a very sunny day. Unlike today and the previous days which were cloudy and rainy. And Adrian, that means you can't leave the castle tomorrow day." Alexis warned with her eyes looking wide at Adrian.

Adrian furrowed his brow for a moment. “Um… and why not?”

"You are a vampire, Adrian. All I know is that vampires can't last longer in under the sun. And remember, what you said to me when you managed to get me out of the river? You said that the vampires don't like rivers, because the water in them absorbs sunlight." Alexis answered there while recalling the previous incident.

“Alexis, I'm a little different from the other vampires. Even though the sun was shining brightly and hot, I was still able to walk under it without the slightest obstacle or difficulty. And rivers, I really don't like rivers actually. But what I do know, and what I learned when I became a vampire before, is that other vampires don't like rivers for that reason. But for me, things are more and really different. I have a lot of difference from other vampires. If they can't walk in the sun, then I can do it." Adrian explained in sufficient detail.

“Is that also the reason? Why don't the vampires want to get close to you at all? Because you are a different vampire?” Alexis asked again.

Adrian nodded his head. "Yes. You could say that is one more another reason.” Adrian answered as he took the dark colored glass by his side, then drank it slowly.

Alexis watched Adrian. She was even sure that the dark glass contained of a human blood. But Alexis would not comment on that things right now. Alexis took a glass of mineral water and drank it slowly. After a while, she put the glass back on the table. "That means Adrian, you are a special vampire." Alexis muttered with a small smile on her face.

Adrian smiled and looked at Alexis. “You are a special human yourself too, Alexis.”

"Should you go to work tonight?" Adrian asked when he and Alexis had just reached the parking lot of the Grill and Mac Restaurant there.

"Yes. I'll be home at twelve o'clock. I can not always permission not to work. Mr. Joseph has been very good to me in the four years I have worked here.” Alexis replied while preparing her bag.

"Okay then. But I really hope that you don't have to go to work anymore. You know? I promised to protect you. That means all the necessities you need, are also my responsibility.” Said Adrian seriously.

"I can't, Adrian. I can't just sit around without working and just sitting idly by with you. I know if you promised to protect me. But my need? It's not your responsibility at all. Our relationship is only limited to you protecting me somehow. Because you never said it, and... it made me feel a little bit stupid, you know. You are a vampire and I am just a human. That's a huge difference between the two of us. And you know about it." Alexis spoke in her voice that sounded sad.

“Alexis… I…” Adrian tried to say something, but Alexis had already raised her right palm and made Adrian stop talking.

"I'll keep working, Adrian. Until your sense of responsibility to protect me is over. Although, I have absolutely no idea when that time will come.” interrupted Alexis speaking. They both stood there for a moment together. “I have to go to work now. Thanks for the ride.” Alexis muttered and got out of Adrian's car. Then walked into the restaurant and got to work.

Leaving Adrian who was still silent in his car there. Adrian lowered his head and closed his eyes for a moment there. “If only I could tell you directly, Alexis. Maybe you will understanding me even more. It's just that I don't have the courage to explain that you are not just the ordinary human. You have vampire hunter blood on all over your body. The pure blood. I drank a little of your blood that night, that's why I'm yours. Likewise, that you are mine. We got the invisible bond in between us."

Adrian raised his head and looked sadly at the restaurant door that opened and closed every time a customer entered and left the restaurant. “You are my fate, Alexis. You are my soulmate...” Adrian muttered at last. "You don't even have to ask me about it, because I've convinced myself that I've fallen in love with you from the first time I smelled your blood that night. Look into your eyes that need ambition and optimism. I realized that I had fallen on my knees to love you forever."

Adrian leaned back in his car seat, and closed his eyes. Now in his mind there was a lot of confusion that he couldn't explain. “I need more time to tell you about everything that I know about you, Alexis. Then give me more time… then I promise to you myself.” Adrian begged in a mumble and waited until Alexis' work time was over.
