This is Quillon's story and the third book in the Rare Wolf series.

As always, please read at your own risk. This story contains explicit scenes, 18+ (which we all love), and an abundance of love and butterflies that may crawl in your stomach to create havoc in your system.

Okay, I'm babbling.

Anyway, keep calm and wait for Quillon. I'm excited about this, and I hope you'll like it the same way you liked the other books of the Rare Wolf series!

Love ya!

Prologue

Quillon

I dropped the last werewolf alive with a single twist of his neck. His dead body fell on my feet, limp and silent.

‘They found us too fast this time,’ my wolf said.

It hasn't been a week since the last encounter I had with the Alpha King’s hunters, and they have already found my new hideout.

Zeron, the werewolf realm’s Alpha King, was hell-bent on capturing me. He wanted the power I was born with, gifted by the heavens and moon goddesses.

“It can't be helped. I used my powers recently, Zeron caught up quickly.” I answered my wolf.

The powers inside me were the same as the Alpha King's. It was also the reason why he wanted me under his command.

Or maybe he wanted me dead.

‘I think he wants us dead. Those hunters were aiming for the kill, not to capture.’

My wolf was right. I sighed.

I've been trying to do the same power tracking with Zeron, but I haven't grasped the capability of my power.

If only I could have known where he was, then I could've brought my parents back. To save them.

“Don't come for us!” My mother's words echoed in my head. “Live, my son, don’t save us!”

The memories of the time they were taken were etched in my memory like a leech. There's no way I'll continue living normally without them being safe and free.

It's been years, and my goal hasn't changed: To find my parents and save them.

What now?’ my wolf asked, bored.

I looked around, and the corpses of the werewolves I killed were scattered everywhere.

“We’ll find another spot.”

Like a stray rogue, I need to find another place to hide from.

Again.

Soleil

"This is your fate! You should follow what I say!" my father's voice echoed like thunder. The hairs on my body stood as I trembled. Not with fear, but because of his power as the alpha that holds me. And though I hate to admit, I am under that power.

"You are not listening to me, Father. I won't marry! I don't want to marry some stranger!"

My father's shoulder trembled in silent laughter. "You think you had a choice? You don’t, Soleil."

I can feel my blood boiling. It was the truth. Once you meet your mate, no matter if you know who they are or not, fate will bind them together.

But I always believed that would be my case. I believed I’ll find my mate the same way everyone does. To be with my fated one. Now, my father makes sure I’ll receive his blessing to marry just anyone he picked for me!

The rebellion forming in my head has reflected in my expression, and it didn't escaped my father's eyes.

He sighed. "You're leaving me with no choice." He motioned for his right-hand man, Callix. "Lock her up and don't let her escape," then he turned to me. "You will wait until I fix things with your soon-to-be husband. In the meantime, I revoke all your privileges as my daughter."

My eyes widened, looking back and forth to Callix, who started to walk towards me.

"You can't do this to me!"

But all I see was my father's back as he started to walk away.

There’s always no one on my side. If only my mother was still alive, she wouldn’t let my father do this to me!

Callix grabbed my arm and started dragging me out of the hall.

This place might be grand, a total luxury, everything anyone could ask for.

But there is certainly one thing it lacked in my eyes.

Freedom.

And I will do everything to get that. Even if it means I throw everything I have, everything I am.

Even if I have to go rogue.

SoleilThe awkward, cat and dog chase rolled for a week. I tried being friendly and he kept acting like a stranger. I'll give him credit for his consistency with his rudeness."Hey!" I called. It was dinnertime and I never saw him all day but now. He just came back and I noticed his chest with streaks of blood and dirt. "What happened?""Went for a hunt." He answered and he entered his tent.I was by a firepit I made, sitting on a wooden chair he probably made."Why don't you join me for dinner, Quillon?" I said, knowing he could hear me clearly.'You know he hates you, right?' my wolf said to me.'Duh. That shouldn't stop me from being nice.' I answered back. I swear my wolf is rolling her eyes right now."Not hungry," Quillon said.I pouted. I grilled more fish than I could eat with a purpose.I thought about our situation and it's not a good sign to be in this state with my neighbor. That's how I decided to put in an effort, cook for us, have dinner, be civil and talk, well, whatev

Chapter SixSoleilMy eyes were on Quillon as I chewed my first bite slowly. To be honest, I didn't expect him to come out of his tent, much less to bring me food. The way he shoved my hand off him and the firmness of his voice really threw me off.And now, agreeing to accompany me as I eat, I'm not sure what his deal is.He sat in front of me, looking away, and his posture screams that he wanted to get out of here. His body was rigid, his spine straight like steel, and his jaw didn't relax from clenching. And knowing he wanted to get out of here fast? Makes me want to eat slowly."Aren't you hungry?" I asked, squinting my eyes when his eyes fluttered before shutting and an exhale came out of his lips."No." He opened his eyes and looked at my food. "Why aren't you eating?""I am eating. I was just enjoying the food. Thank you for this, by the way."His nostril flared, and his head hung low. I swear I heard a growl from him, but it's too low."You're welcome. Now stop talking and fini

I try to forget everything in my past and stay focused on my goal. And having a mate and everything about it was one of the things I buried deep in my head. The possibility of finding my fated one without the help of a Mapping Ball was close to zero. And now? Finding her in the middle of nowhere? Fuck.I almost claimed her! My canines came out and the way it grazed her skin feels so right. It feels so enticing. I almost gave in to the mating call. I almost made her mine! And now that's all my head could think of!If I didn't stop myself... If I didn't conceal and seal our mating bond, she would have known it, too!I was born different.I'm not like other werewolves. North has five packs, South has three, West has four and East has only one.Well, actually, East has two werewolf packs but the other pack was hidden. No one knew about it. Chapter ThreeSoleil"Let me help you with this." I grabbed an armful of wood, piling them where his stack was. With my chin up, I pretended I didn't hear his words. Okay, I can do this. Or I should, since staying with him is the better thing to do than to wander around like a lost pup."Didn't you hear what I said?"Of course, I heard him. Loud and clear. But it doesn't mean I couldn't force myself in his care--maybe slash that care thingy, he doesn't really give a damn about me. But I need a place to be, and so far, I feel safe with Quillon."I did."He let out a frustrated groan and the hairs on my nape rose. Damn, his deep and low sound made me shiver. "Then, what are you doing?"I grabbed more woods, hugged them to my chest, and then I faced him.His deep golden brown eyes welcomed me, and I was lost for words. The way his face darkened from irritation just does things to me. It doesn't scare me; if anything, it drew me more to him."I'm helping." I walked towards his stack but h
