As I sat beside Rowland's bed, watching him toss and turn in feverish sleep, I couldn't help but feel helpless. The doctors had done all they could, but his condition was only worsening by the hour. I knew I had to do something to save him.
As I walked into my room, I went straight to my bookshelf and pulled out the book of dark magic. I sat down on my bed, opened the book, and started searching for a spell that could cure Rowland.
