Chapter One:

Eila was a young woman who had always dreamed of the day she would meet her Alpha mate. She hailed from the Blue Moon Pack, a once peaceful pack that had fallen into turmoil due to the actions of Marcus. Eila eagerly awaited her eighteenth birthday, the day chosen by the Moon Goddess for her to meet her mate. On this day, her growth would be complete, and her inner wolf would emerge. But it turned out to be the worst day of her life when she woke up to the voice of her wicked sister, Rhea, delivering devastating news.

Rhea threw a glass of ice-cold water on Eila while she was still asleep, yelling angrily, "When did you get here, you insolent brat?"

Eila was startled and on the verge of tears due to her sister's harsh response, but she tried to stand her ground. "I finished all the chores, and I came here to relax. Today is my birthday."

"Who cares about your birthday? You also want to celebrate the wretched day you brought us!" Rhea retorted.

"What do you want, Rhea?" Eila asked.

"You've been sold to a wealthy Alpha. He has many alliances, and he wants you badly. So, I agreed to it in exchange for a few million," Rhea said, her words devoid of any consideration for Eila's feelings.

Eila was in shock as she sat on her bed, wondering how this could happen. She had been waiting for her eighteenth birthday for years. Rhea had always been harsh and resentful, even after their father's death two years ago. Rhea now owned the house and threatened to kick Eila out, leaving her to suffer on the streets. Eila didn't understand why Rhea despised her so much. Was it because their father had married her mother after the death of her parents at the hands of hunters, or was it because their father had always loved her more than Rhea?

Eila got up and faced her sister, putting her finger in front of Rhea's face. "I won't marry anyone, Rhea. I'll only be with my mate chosen by the Moon Goddess."

Rhea approached her, pushed her finger aside, and said with anger in her eyes, "You will do as I say. Besides, how can you refuse an Alpha millionaire like him? He's the Alpha of the Gold Sun Pack. He'll make you live in palaces and grant your every wish."

Eila sat there crying like a child. She knew that this Alpha only wanted her as a lover and wouldn't make her his Luna. He would humiliate her for his wealth. Marcus was from the most powerful and ruthless Sun Pack. She looked at Rhea and wondered why she was so selfish and cruel, as if she had taken her life. If she refused, she would be thrown out of the house and become homeless. If she accepted, there would be no chance to meet her mate chosen by the Moon Goddess.

Eila had always been an obedient wolf following the pack and waiting to meet her mate. This was the first time she would fully embrace her wolf. She was supposed to be welcomed and trained to be responsible. Maybe the pain of her transformation would be nothing compared to the heartache she felt.

She remembered her father telling her on a day like this that her training would start on the day of her transformation after finishing high school to protect herself from attacks by hunters and rogues. All pack members were trained after they became wolves and finished high school. In high school, they learned about werewolves, pack laws, pack protection, and what they wanted to become. Her father used to take care of her and defend her.

Rhea yanked Eila's hair forcefully and yelled, "You're not in a position to choose; you're forced."

"Please, Rhea, leave me alone. You're hurting me and making my life harder. Why are you doing this?" Eila asked.

Each pack had its own traditions, and their tradition was to choose someone to witness their first transformation. This might be a problem for Eila since there was no one left, and Rhea certainly opposed it. She hated this day and had been rejected by her wolf. After that day, she lost passion and energy and didn't want to do anything – even find a mate.

Eila didn't think about it and decided to ignore Rhea. She went to the bathroom, cleaned her pearly white teeth, tied her black hair in a ponytail, and put on a beautiful bra with a cotton shirt and blue jeans. She was tall and blonde, and she applied some light makeup, paying special attention to the lipstick. She wanted to look beautiful on her birthday and hoped that someone would save her from Rhea's cruelty.

As she descended the stairs, ready to leave the house, she found Rhea sitting on the couch, sipping a cup of coffee with one leg crossed over the other. When Rhea heard her footsteps, she turned to her and said, "It seems you didn't understand what I said. You won't meet any mate today. You'll spend the night with Marcus, or, more accurately, you'll be his little whore."

Rhea was spiteful and cruel, despite her seductive beauty. Eila couldn't contain her words and said, "You're telling me that you'll throw me out like trash. Isn't that right? Well, I'll leave this house and won't come back. All you care about is making me a whore for that Alpha."

She said with a roll of her eyes, a smile drawn on her face. Rhea was stunned by her decision, as if someone had stabbed her in the heart. She threw the coffee cup aside, shattering it into small pieces, and said as she approached her, "Do you think Marcus will leave you? Who are you to refuse Marcus and look for a weak mate?"

Fear crept into Eila's heart, for Marcus was known for his cruelty, and he was the strongest of the wolves. She had never met him, but his reputation was known to everyone. She felt intense fear, and her heart ached. She wasn't strong enough to face Rhea or that villain Marcus, and she couldn't face the outside world alone. Where and how could she escape this nightmare?
