UNBEARABLE SORROW

"I know," Zara said, her voice gentle. "But there's always a better way. Revenge only leads to more pain and suffering."

"I realise that now," I said, tears streaming down my face. "But it's too late. I've already paid the price."

"It's not too late," Zara said, putting a hand on my shoulder. "You're still alive, and you still have a chance to make things right."

"How?" I asked, my voice filled with doubt.

"I don't know," Zara said, her voice soft. "But I do know that you're strong, and you're brave. You'll figure it out."

"Thank you, Zara," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Zara smiled at me and then got up to leave. As she walked away, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope. Maybe she was right. Maybe there was a way to make things right, to undo the consequences of revenge. I was a wolf, and I would fight until my last breath.
