Chapter 4

CAMILA

"I'm trying to learn here" I yelled at Ava who wouldn't stop distracting me telling me about events that happen in the school.

"Well, you should be happy I am talking to you" she smiled taking my book.

"Allow me to show you around my princess" she squealed and I scoffed in annoyance.

"No Ava, allow me to read" I ordered with a firm face but she only laughed.

Goodness, I'd have to try the library next time.

"Ava!!" A girl squealed rushing to us but paused seeing me.

"Ohh, you have a new friend" she mumbled.

"No, of course not" Ava laughed hugging her.

"You're my friend, and she's our new friend, come let's show her around" she said and the girl nodded gazing at me.

"You're pretty" she complimented and I flashed her a smile.

"So, this is the school library" she said pointing at a beautiful building with different paintings on it.

"Alright" I nodded gazing at it, it's very beautiful even though it's multicolored.

We walked for a little while before she gasped pointing at a direction. Who? I thought turning to her direction.

"Henry" she gasped covering her mouth as Henry walked towards our direction.

"Goodness, hold me" she mumbled leaning on me.

"He's cute" Anna said and I rolled my eyes as he made way towards us with his guards behind him.

A few inches towards us, I could smell the scent of his perfume and of course, the smell is heavenly. He made to pass beside us but stopped gazing intently at us or should I say me?

"You're the new girl?" He asked and I nodded.

"Ohhh" he mumbled directing his gaze on Ava.

"Friends huh?" He chuckled before pocketing his hands and with one last glance, he walked away.

"OMG" Ava screamed excitedly.

"He fucking talked to us" she gasped with a light blush and I scoffed.

"Where do we go again?" I asked and she exhaled trying to calm her fast beating heart.

"The school garden" she said and I nodded as she lead the way.

"But don't you think it's a little bit weird Henry is in the school?" Ava asked as we walked.

"Of course Anna but I'm excited nevertheless" Ava squealed and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"I think he's here to watch over the school" Anna added and Ava smiled.

"Maybe" Ava said.

I sighed as she rushed inside the garden trailing her hands over the flowers.

"It'd be romantic here" she said dramatically and I chuckled.

Romantic? Really?

"How old are you?" I asked her.

"18" , she answered and I smiled.

Okay, it isn't bad I guess.

"I really love this red flower" Anna said plucking a strand and I smiled snatching it from her.

This is the most beautiful flower here.

HENRY

"Is Chloe like that?" I asked my closest guard and he nodded.

"Why am I just finding out?" I asked and he bowed.

"She tries her best to keep it as a secret" he answered and I nodded.

No wonder I'm just finding out about the tantrum she pulled in my house the last time she came.

"Don't allow her into my room ever again" I ordered and he nodded.

Phew! Picking up my jacket, I took my face cap and glasses to avoid some silly attention.

"I want a drive" I said and the guard nodded walking outside while I followed.

Entering the latest version of the Maserati, I exhaled as the driver roared the engine.

Now, I need a good drive around the city. In the car, I couldn't help my thoughts, am I really doing the right thing by staying here to instead of going out of the states? Hell no, I'm pretty smart, I can cope with the business exam later, I just need to enjoy being a student for a little while.

NEXT DAY

I watched as the maid took everything I needed in my room. Goodness, I can't believe I'm playing the basketball game again, it's been a while.

"The white or black?" She asked and I needed no one to tell me it's my shoes she's asking of.

"Of course white" I answered and she nodded with a small smile.

I stood up as a guard entered to take my things.

"You know what to prepare before I come back" I said walking out of the room.

CAMILA

"What do you mean?" I asked dad unbelievably.

"Camila" he called with a sigh.

"I have no other choice than to take this job" he said despondently.

"That means you'd be away from me" I cried sadly.

"Yes, but I'd visit during weekends" he sighed falling to the chair and I couldn't help the tears that ran down my eyes.

"Will I be staying alone then?" I asked and he sighed.

"No, don't tell me that" I shook my head firmly.

"I'm not even 18 yet" I yelled and he sighed.

"Will you go with me then?" He asked and I scoffed immediately.

"Go with you? And leave my school?" I asked angrily.

"Yes, I can always get you another school" he said but I scoffed at the thought of it.

That institution is the only one I want.

"No" I said firmly.

"Then you have to cope with it Camila" he said standing up.

"You'd be staying alone" he added and I sniffed hard.

"Okay" I mumbled quietly as tears ran down my face.

I'd be staying alone?

"And I'd try getting you a maid soon" I heard him say as I cried into my palm.

"Camila" he called stroking my hair.

"Just come with" he said but I shook my head instantly.

"Alright" he sat beside me patting my back.

"I'd get you a maid and also try to come home at least 2 times a week" he said and I looked up.

"Dad" I cried hugging him tightly while he gently stroked my hair.

"Dad loves you" I heard him say and I smiled tightening the hug.

"I'd miss you" I mumbled into his chest and he laughed stroking my hair.
