Julianna’s POV

The next morning, Moonspire glimmered like dawn had fallen and decided to stay forever. Lanterns floated in slow spirals above the bridges, petals drifted down like glowing snow, and laughter filled every street. It was the day of the Festival of Lights — and apparently, the elves took their festivals very seriously.

Fianna had arranged everything — outfits, invitations, even carriages made of woven vines. I barely recognized myself when I looked in the mirror. My gown shimmered white and gold, simple but radiant, and the silver pendant — the one Scott got for me — hung around my neck.

I froze. Wait.

“Like it?”

Scott leaned against the doorway, arms crossed and grinning. “You must really like that pendent.”

“Off cause.” I asked, stunned.

He shrugged casually. “Consider it a peace offering. For all the times I’ve been an arrogant jerk.”

I smiled softly. “That’s… sweet.”

“Don’t spread that around. I have a r

Julianna’s POVThe Elven throne room—once a place of light and grace—felt like a tomb- heavy, suffocating, final. The scent of incense clung to the air, mingled with something heavy and wrong. The Elven King lay on the floor, his crown resting beside his head like it had rolled from grace. There was no wound, no blood. Only stillness. His heart was silent.“No… no, no, no…” The word fell out of me before I could even think. “No, please—no!”The scream that tore from my throat wasn’t human—it was something deeper, rawer, as if the world itself was crying through me. My knees hit the marble, my hands trembling as I reached for him.I fell beside him, shaking him as if my touch could undo what had already been done. “Please, Your Majesty—wake up! You can’t… you can’t just—”My voice cracked into a strangled sob.But nothing happened. His skin was cool, the faint golden glow around him flickering out like dying embers. Then the great doors burst open. Footsteps echoed behind me—hurried, d

Julianna’s POVMorning sunlight spilled through the crystal domes of Moonspire, scattering rainbows across my walls. For once, the Elven city didn’t hum with the tension I’d grown used to — no formal lectures, no whispers about the “Chronokeeper.” Just laughter, floating up from the streets below. When I stepped out onto the terrace, I finally saw why.The elves were decorating.Bridges were strung with glowing orbs that shimmered between silver and gold. Garlands of mana-bloom petals hung from the tree branches like tiny suns. Children giggled as they chased dancing light wisps, and everywhere, there was music — soft, lilting tunes played on crystal flutes.Lyra appeared beside me. “Okay,” she said, squinting Did the elves suddenly learn how to throw a party?”“It’s for the Festival of Lights,” came Fianna’s gentle voice. She walked toward us, wrapped in a pale blue cloak that matched her eyes. Her steps were still careful — her mana hadn’t

Chapter 70Julianna POVThe day began with sunlight spilling through the crystal arches of the Elven capital. Bells rang across the courtyard, soft and melodic — almost too peaceful for what was about to happen.Today was the Exchange.Officially, it was “a friendly training session between Sylvaren Academy and Paranormal High.”Unofficially, it was a test.A test to prove that the “outsiders” — meaning us — weren’t savages playing at magic. From the look on the Elven King’s face as he addressed the gathered students, it was clear that even he didn’t believe this would stay “friendly” for long.“May this exchange strengthen unity and understanding between our kind,” he said, voice rich and steady. “Let skill, not pride, speak.”Beside him, Kaelen stood like an icicle in human form, arms folded. His eyes flicked toward me for a moment — unreadable.I stood with Lily, Lyra, Scott, Kaid, Lila, Caleb, and Cameron — ou

Julianna POVTraining days blurred together like bruises.Every dawn, I found myself standing in the courtyard of Sylvaren Academy’s western grounds, hands shaking from the cold, waiting for Kaelen. He was always early—already meditating, his silver hair sharp as glass, his eyes colder than frostbite.“You’re late,” he said the moment I stepped into the circle.“It’s sunrise,” I muttered.“Then you should’ve been here before it rose.” His tone didn’t rise, didn’t fall—it was like a blade that didn’t need to move to cut.I gritted my teeth. “Let’s just start.”Kaelen didn’t waste time with lectures. His way of teaching was cruelty disguised as discipline. He attacked without warning—a whip of air slicing past my cheek.“Too slow!”Another lash. I blocked, stumbled, hit the ground. The mana around me fizzled.“Every time you lose focus, someone dies. That’s what your power means,” he said, pacing. “Do you want that

Julianna’s POVThe morning air in Moonspire was crisp — too crisp, if you asked me. The Elven city never seemed to know what warmth meant. Even sunlight here felt cold, filtered through layers of magic and crystal.Classes at the academy were suspended for the day, which normally would’ve been a gift, but I didn’t feel like celebrating. Ever since we’d arrived, I’d been stuck between being stared at like a miracle or whispered about like a curse.Whichever way you spun it, being me had become exhausting. So instead of joining the others for breakfast, I sat alone on the balcony of our quarters, watching beams of mana light drift lazily between the crystal spires. Below, the Elven students of Sylvaren Academy moved like a single unit — elegant, precise, almost mechanical.Even the wind here moved in order.“Still sulking?” Lyra’s voice came from behind me.“I’m not sulking,” I muttered. She raised a brow. “Then what do you call
