Rebirth Of The Luna Queen

"No! No! No!" Katrina was mumbling fearfully, intense anxiety laced with uncertainty gushed through her porcelain skin as she tore hell for leather towards the throne hall.

She was hoping to see her mate, badly wishing he was safe and unharmed at least —Lucien is her lifeline, and she'd not want anything to happen to him!

He's her priority, and the moon goddess knows that he meant the whole world to her!

Today was the mate-matching ceremony and they just ended their mating consummation!

However, a brutal war broke out unexpectedly in the Darkmoon pack, rendering every wolf across the land helpless as they were mercilessly slain!

"No!" Katrina bitterly lamented as she eventually got to the large wooden door of the throne hall.

She took an abrupt halt as her teary eyes rotated frantically at the pack guards who were spreading lifelessly on the floor —the lookout was gruesome!

Katrina quickly stomps her feet carefully on the bloodbath ground, reaching out to the tremendous wooden door of the throne hall. Then, she struggled with all her might and she pushed the door open!  

Immediately Katrina's silver watery eyes caught Lucien straddling comfortably on the large throne, she let out a wild scream of relief "Lucien!"

One could feel the deep relaxation that was doctored in her voice as she swiftly ran like the wind towards him. Her once unsettled mind was slowly calming down at the view of him, her endearing mate!

As much as she was enthusiastic about seeing how safe he was, she also badly wanted to pour it all out to him about the current situation happening in the Darkmoon pack, her deceased mother's pack!

Right now, piercing cries and caterwauls bursting from the pack children and women could be heard. The houses and cottages are on the blaze, conflagration on every rooftop as they generate thick foggy smoke that swirls merrily in the atmosphere.  

"Stop!" A voice growled at Katrina, and instantly she found herself stopping, snapping at her head at the familiar voice.

It was Sienna, her quarrelsome stepsister!

Because of the excitement that had welcomed her body when she saw Lucien, Katrina didn't take the odd to take notice of her stepsister. And beside Sienna, there stood her father and her stepmother.

Her father was glaring hatefully at her, and her stepmother wasn't an exception as she scowled her countenance at her too.

Well, it's not like it's something unusual...

"How 'DARE' you stop me, huh!" Katrina yells at her sister who loathed her with passion. "This is my mother's pack for your information, and simply because my father married your mother doesn't mean you have the right to talk to me anyhow you want!"

"You bitch!" Sienna angrily shouted, viciously embarking to charge at her. However, her mother stopped her.

"Stay aside, Sienna!" Katrina's father softly said to Sienna, and she reluctantly stayed put.

"My love!" Katrina turns to Lucien with a pretty smile on her face, she was beautiful no doubt and she was deemed as the most pretty peacock in the pack!

Katrina gazed at Lucien with so much high esteem as he stood powerfully to his feet, walking coldly towards her as if he was counting each of his steps.

“Lucien there's a war…”

"You!" Lucien pointed his hand dangerously at her, causing Katrina to shrink back and she frowned In confusion.

What's going on? Why does her precious mate gaze disdainfully at her in such a way?!

"What is...what is it, my love?" Katrina tries to move close to him.

However, Lucien grasps her neck, clogging her throat channels and Katrina finds it difficult to breathe!

"W-what are you doing?" Katrina shockingly gasps amid coughing as her silver orbs swiveled to the back of her head, she sinks her nails into his wrist as she seeks to quell him!

A man who has never laid a hand on her!

"Get lost!" Lucien's intense voice boomed, and he propelled her away wickedly.

"Argh!" Katrina yelped as her butt slumped roughly on the ground. She felt a pang in the pit of her stomach as she tearfully lifted her face to skim directly into his eyes. "Mate!" She bawled.

"I'm not your mate!" Lucien snarls, his eyes were dark and mischievous. "I am now donning the pack crown, so you are no longer useful to me!" He spat openly at her face.

"What!" Katrina was stunned, startled, and aghast as her fragile heart which was once filled with a bouquet of love and affection shattered instantly into pieces.

Her brain went void for three seconds!!!

What the hell is happening...?!

No! No! No!

"No! No! You can't do this to me! You can't do this to me, Lucien!" Katrina crawls to his feet, clutching his legs as she shed tears to his feet.

"I Lucien Alphonse reject you Katrina Georgetown as my mate! You are pathetic, and not fit to be my luna!" Lucien spits at her, kicking her away too.

"Argh!" Katrina clenches her chest where it deeply hurts, she felt severe pain as she whimpers in anguish as the mate bond gradually succumbs like a dying flower.  

The air in the throne hall was suffocating, the betrayal and backstabbing were too much for her to overcome, the rejection as well and this made her cry her heart out!

"Sienna will be my next luna!" Lucien asserted openly, his hand stuck out to Sienna who proudly placed her hand on his and stood beside him.

Katrina is completely shattered as she watches her world crumble right in front of her eyes...

This pack belongs to her mother and before she died she passed on the title to her father, being the sole biological daughter of her mother —she was the next to govern the Darkmoon pack.

Hence, she decided to make Lucien the next alpha since they were mates! She loved him, a lot. She wholly sacrificed the kingship and bestowed the title on him simply because she trusted him a lot.

Even when miscellaneous people tried to warn her, she paid a deaf ear to the silent whisperings because she knew Lucien wasn't a horrible man —she was bedazzled by his tenderness and warmth.

The sweet kisses, the soft touches, the séx —all these were fake and planned out by him!

He betrayed her! He misused her for his selfish gains! He lied and toyed with her!

"Oh, sister!" Sienna laughed in mockery, giggling at her vulnerable stepsister who was suffering the mate bond which was slowly slipping away.

"F-father..." Katrina calls her father, her silver eyes pleading with him to help her out. However, the man was browned off and he shunned her.

"I'm not your father, from this day henceforth you cease to be my daughter!" Her father disowned her, his eyes thundering wickedly at her.

"You did the right thing, mate!" Gina, Katrina's stepmother chips in as she holds her husband's arm.

Katrina was extremely saddened and so was her wolf, she could no longer feel her bones anymore. Her whole body was stiffened as she sobbed, she wasn't able to scream so she let the tears of her endless pain flow down her face —she was fooled!

At that moment, the black witch appears in the throne hall. Her lengthy dark silk hair glided in the air, her eyes were purely raven and she was putting on a black gown.

"You summoned me through the pack link, alpha!" She laughs dramatically and bows to the young man in front of her.

"I need you to carve an unchaste mark on her face, and kill her wolf!" Lucien decreed, and the wicked witch did as she was instructed.

"No...no..." Katrina whimpers weakly, struggling with the last of her strength as she tries to pull away from the witch.

However, it was impossible as the witch leans down to her. A wicked smile played on her lips as she brought out an ancient jade knife and stuck it on her face -she drew a half moon make on her right cheek.

Consequently, Katrina started to feel the harsh death of her wolf which was unhurriedly leaving her body.

"No, Ava please don't leave me!" Katrina whimpers as she feels her wolf dying, the veins in her body feel as if they were prolonging and elongating.

*I'm... I'm... Sorry..." Ava, her wolf rasps as she suffers in the rebellious pain until she vanishes!

"No!" Katrina forced out a scream as she went limp immediately. "Why... Why did you do this to me?!"

"Because I never loved you, I never did. I was merely professing my love to you simply because you are the only source of my power!" Lucien spills out shamelessly. "And now I have what I desired and with Sienna by my side, you are useless!"

Katrina broke down one more time... She was emotionally, and physically wounded!

"You don't have to worry, Katrina. After all, it was a father that brought up this suggestion of getting rid of you!" Sienna slyly chuckles as she hugs Lucien deeply to herself.

"W-hat!" Katrina's lips trembled.

"Yes, it's true!" Her father gnarled at his daughter. "Your mother's lineage can't be tolerated to continue anymore!" He firmly expressed.

"Father knew that if Lucien is mated with you, only then can you grant him the crown. And he also gave the idea of poisoning the drink at the mate matching ceremony so it would be possible to slaughter everyone in a pack!” Sienna arrogantly explains further.

Katrina's blurry eyelids swayed from her father, stepmother, Sienna, and then to Lucian...

Then, she asked "Is... Is she telling? Telling the whole truth?"

"Yes!" Lucien answers strongly.

Katrina's body shook as her eyes became red with anger, she struggled to stand on her feet but she was very feeble since her wolf was gone!

She wishes to kill Lucien, she wishes to make him go through the pain he brutally caused her. He's inhumane, he's a beast!

Staggering slowly towards Lucien with the intent of murdering him, the witch and Sienna dashingly crept forward to her —in a swift, the witch meanly attached her black nail into Katrina's belly.

"Ugh!" Katrina howls in pain, her jaws spilling out the cloth of blood as she dies slowly. The witch's finger in her stomach was torturing, and unjust.

Her pale silver eyelids were unhurriedly fluttering, her limbs were failing her. The image of Lucien grinning maliciously from her throne was burned into her mind.

Katrina swore to come back and make them suffer in ten thousand folds!

She vowed under her breath to revenge!
