Her face grew pale, her body went numb, and the tears slipped from her eyes again in shock, "W…What?"

"What did you just say?" To hear him, her voice cracked. She is devasted to know his hands are behind killing her family. She was on the verge of surrendering to trauma.

"You….You are the one who killed my family?" Her breaths sharpened, and blood surged in the other direction as she plainly wished at this moment to stir instantly and tear apart his head from his body.

Jamil smirked without ashamed, "Yes, I did that."

"I stabbed your entire family in the back!"

"I'm the one who killed your whole family!" He laughed at last.

"Y-You!" Her eyes filled with a deadly aura, "Murderer!"

"I'll kill you!" She attempted to stand from her spot but hit the floor harder, "Ah!" The incredible pain rushes through her lower belly, and blood begins oozing again.

"Poor, Layla,"

"Stop doing that. You are now weak and soon going to die."

His comments devastated her heart, and non-stop tears fell from her eyes to realise her family had died because of her. Her so-called blind love snatched her family.

"Mom-Dad, I'm so sorry," She broke in deep sobs, "I'm sorry, Olivia, my little sister…."

"I'm sorry, David, my little brother....."

"I'm sorry to be the reason for all of your death."

Her soul was trembling to learn all this situation happened just because of her; everything would still be there if she didn't fall for this man. If he did not, her mate. The chosen partner.

But 'If' is only at last stayed. When everything is now going to have vanished with her.

"Who is crying? Did I come at the wrong time, Jamil?" The familiar woman's voice made Layla raise her head and look at the voice source soon.

"Layla?" The woman's voice filled with shock as she saw her.

Layla turned and met Sophia's shocked expression. She is Jamil's distant cousin as well as her close friend.

Layla assumed Jamil would try to kill her also as she witnessed her death, so without any extra thought, she shouted with the remaining strength to save her friend's life. She can't let any more people die because of her.

"Sophia, Run!"

"Jamil is a traitor! He will kill you!"

"Just run away!" Her tone filled with anxiety as she waited for Sophia to run and save her own life.

However, Sophia, who had appeared stunned a second before, transformed her attitude in a flash with a fierce evil sneer, "What did you just say? Run?"

"Are you nuts? Do you want me to miss my chance to see you dying finally?" Her expression turned mocking, and her lips smile darkened, watching Layla lying on the floor with a pool of blood.

"W-What?" Layla's entire body was shaken to hear that, "What did you say?"

She can't believe in her ears what she heard from Sophia, her friend's mouth.

However, Sophia arrogantly walked in Jamil's direction, ignoring Lyala's shocking expression, staring at her with a mixed, confused and hurting gaze.

She just walked to Jamil and spoke roughly, "Why did you start planning without me?"

Layla became halted as she heard her.

Jamil slyly smiles at her, "Sorry, babes. I just want to end things early."

The way his voice turned sweeter for Sophia, Layal realised something.

"Is that so?" Sophia chuckled, and the next moment, she held his collar to bring him closer and smacked her lips with his.

Jamil did not retreat from Sophia but drew her closer and kissed her with the same wildness. He roughly bit her lower lips to open her mouth for him, and when he got entrance, their tongue almost danced together.

Layla, who witnessed their open kiss before her eyes, froze. Her blood rushes over her brain. Everything was crushed inside her. Her chest tightened, and she gasped for air, feelings suffocated by this view. She was in excruciating pain all throughout her body.

She had no idea they were cheating on her behind her back.

When she can't watch him go kissing, she turns her head with disgust and feels like killing those bastards together. She doesn't anymore want to die before killing them.

On the other side, they finally drew themselves from the kiss and looked at Layla's pale expression with a sneer.

"Oh, please forgive me, Layla."

"I forgot, you are still not dead," Sophia chuckled as she mentioned her death. Her face was filled with victory and pride.

Layla could not take her filthy remarks any longer and glared at the couple with disgust and spoke, "So, you were both betraying me behind my back!"

Hearing her, Jamil chuckled while Sophia let go of his arm and walked to her side, "So, what were we fucking? Are you angry, bitch?"

Her rude, insulting, mocking words made Layla understand that 'the kind version of Sophia' was a big lie. This is her so-called evil friend's natural face.

"Why, Sophia?"

"What is your reason for doing this?"

"I always treated you as my closer friend and family." The anger and frustration both mixed in her words. Her eyes are almost flaring with rage.

However, Sophia angrily laughed and kneeled momentarily to grip and pull Layla's hair mercilessly.

"Ah!" Layla's held her wrist to stop her, but her grasp tightened more as she spouted the next moment, "Listen bitch! You are not my friend! You are nothing but a whore! Do you get it!"

Layla bearing the pain from her hair's scalps, glared at Sophia with bloodshot eyes, "You are the one who bitch here, Sophia!"

"What did you just say?" Sophia greeted her teeth and angrily smashed Layla's forehead on the ground, releasing her hair.

"Are you even aware? Who am I?" she wildly yelled after that.

Layla's head got injured, causing her to feel dizzy. She touches her forehead to sense wetness. Her injured area was gushing with blood.

"Looked at me, Bitch! When I speak!" Sophia did not stop there; she grabbed her arm to make her raise her head and saw her in her eyes.

"Now listen carefully, Bitch!"

"The truth is, you are the third person in the middle of us! Not me!"

"I'm the real mate of Jamil, and once you die. I'll be the true Luna!"

"Do you get it!" She pushed her arm, releasing her.

Principle Office"Lyala, if our Alpha give you permission to focus on your training, there is no need for further approval. I have no issue with your study online and attending exams as per placed." The Principal stared at Lyala with a small smile, who was sitting in the across chair with a quiet, calm expression on her face all the time.Once she heard him, her corner lips finally raised with delight, "Thank you, Sir, for understanding this. I don't skip studying. I promise you that." Her mind relaxed to get the approval, so she assured him with her words. "That's fine, Layla.""I trust you and, most importantly, Our Alpha, who give his approval to you.""And even if you are not Alpha's daughter. I still think I will give you approval on the basis of your student record. You are our brilliant student anyway." "Welcome home, Sweetie." Rosy kissed Lyala's cheek and smiled warmly. Layla returned the smile as her eyes moved around the house and interrogated her mother, "Mom, where are my cute pups?" She's asking about her siblings."They both went to their friend's birthday. Your father will go to get them after dinner." "I see." Layla nodded in understanding and sat on the couch when Rosy came beside her and took a seat. "So, how was your training?" Hearing the question, her mind thought about Jamil's ghastly reaction after losing him before she finally smirked, "It was great. More than I thought." "That's relief." "I guess your dad and I were just unknowingly concerned about your training." "That's true." Layla beamed, which made her Mom do the same. "What's happening here? Are you two both joking without me?" Luke came out of his room and stared at them in curiosity."Yes, and you are not invited on it." Rosy teasingly answered, which made Layla lightly laugh while Luke raised his b

It had almost gone dark when the match was finally over between them. Layla gave him a hand to stand back; even though Jamil felt humiliated and angry because of this defence, he still managed to mask his disdain and smile lightly, taking her help. As he stood back, she tried to mask her satisfaction and happiness for winning her first small duet against him by blinking her eyes in unease, then adopted a fretted expression in front of him before confirming his condition by interrogating, "Jamil, did you get hurt anywhere seriously? How about going to the doctor?" He gazed at her expression, which looked seriously worried for him, but somehow, he found her displeasing after this duel and instantly covered his words with a lie, "No, I'm fine. This small fight can't injure me." He wanted to prove his strength still, and seeing that, she could only ridicule with a smile, "That's true, I guess; I just got lucky today." "I don't mean that." Jamil was satisfied with her last statement an
