CHAPTER FOUR
I could not rest through the night. I kept thinking of the way I was going to disgrace the slut before everyone was present.
Finally, the day came and I got dressed as soon as I could for the Mate matching ceremony.
"Tap, tap," I felt a slight tap on the door and I knew for sure that it was Fredrick. I went over and opened the door and immediately I saw his face, my face twisted with so much hate and disgust. But before he could notice anything, I forced a fake smile only to deceive him.
"Good day dear," I greeted with the fake frown still hanging on my face. He drew me closer to himself and kissed me on my forehead and if I didn't foreknow that he was going to do this, I would have thought that he genuinely loved me.
"I have really missed you love and I always want you by my side," he whispered into my ears while I shot a deadly sneer at him From behind.
"Just wish I could cut out this lying sugar-coated lips of yours," I thought swiftly in my head. He pulled away from me and led me to the room where Kate was also seated.
He got seated waiting for us to get set but I was already ready and I knew that he was only taking this long so that he would buy time for Kate to also get finished.
I noticed that he was staring at Kate lustfully and my face twisted with so much hate and anger.
"Can we go now? I am already tired of waiting," I growled.
"We will soon leave, Kate just need a few more minutes to do her hair," he tried to say but I wasn't going to fall for his lies ever again.
"Are you here to get Kate if me?" I growled at him without so much hatred in my eyes
"You off course," he noted smiling sheepishly at me. "Then let's get going or I am going to walk to the venue alone," I noted stepping up immediately.
He could not oppose me because he wanted to be all smiles today as he was going to be picking me as his match mate. In my past life, Kate always stood in between us but a dark smile hovered on my face as I thought that she was being left alone this time.
I walked beside him to the ceremony and I could see a frown hanging on his face breathing my heart. When we got there, I went to the mateless female section while he went to the males just by the left.
Then, I noticed that Kate and her mother were walking toward me. My face twisted with so much hate and disgust as they came and sat beside me. I felt like tearing them apart but no, I was going to do so with my words.
"Why are you just coming? Or you thought Fredrick was going to walk you here? Too bad he loves me but you," I shot a smirk at her and she stared at my surprise.
"You are just a fool," she growled at me and took her eyes away from me angrily.
.
"Not as stupid as you are," I returned. I noticed that her lips twisted with disgust. "You are strange," she shot at me.
I knew what she was talking about. I was no longer the all-peace-loving kind of person I used to be. Allowing them to bully me without spilling a word, even though my wolf was stronger than all of theirs joined together.
The ceremony officially began. I thought about my last stupid life where I was such a fool. During that life, I was so in love that even without waiting for him to ask if we could be mates, I did it myself.
"I was such a big-time fool," I growled Inside my head.
But this time, I was going to turn things around for him. I stayed on the spot not ready to move an inch. The Werewolf around kept searching for their potential mates.
I noticed a Werewolf walking towards me with the most sweet smelling flower in his hands and he smiled at me. "Please be my mate," he said with such a lovely voice but I didn't even remove the smile that was hanging on my face.
"No," I returned. Another came and it was the same for all of them. I watched Fredrick and I noticed a dark smile seating on his face.
"She will be mine," I could read his thoughts but I only spat on the floor.
And just as I had predicted, he got up from his seat with rose flowers, my best. And he walked gradually towards me bumming with smiles but my facial expression was indifferent.
He walked over to me and knelt before me with so much emotion. "Please the Love of my life, the apple of my eyes, and the air that I breathe, please be my mate," he said to me with his tear-filled eyes but I was already ready to play along with his Deceit.
"But if I accept you, I will have to forfeit my rights to contest for the next Alpha of the pack to you," I returned and he shot a Decietful smile at me.
"You will always be by my side as my mate and the Luna of this pack," he returned. I knew that he thought I was going to accept his offer and be his luna but I was about to give him the shock of his life.
"But I can't be your mate," I returned he griped with shock while I smiled the inside of me.
"My clan wants me to be the Alpha so that I will represent them as the first female Alpha of the clan," I tried to explain and I could see him already shivering. He shot a Stern look at Kate and her mother saying a lot to them and they did the same.
"But we can convince them, just accept me," he proposed but I shook my head with disapproval.
I pretend to fill embarrassed rejecting him before everyone one. "I am sorry but I just can't," I returned with tears dropping from my eyes and I ran out of the event center to the main hall.
I cleaned up my tears immediately after I saw that they were far away and I smiled to myself.
"Such a fool," I said to myself.
But then, I heard a strange sound that made my heart skip a lot of beats and cold shivers ran down my spine. "Aurora!!" I heard my wolf from my past life saying to me.
I was shocked and scared at the same time. "But I thought my wolf died in my past life," I thought in my head. I was happy at least that my wolf was back and tears of joy poured down from my eyes.
But then, I heard a strange cry Fri my wolf. "Mate!" She cried out aloud and I was confused.
"Mate!!" She cried again.
."Mate?" I re-echoed.
