There was silence between the two as Odessa wiped off the wounds on his hands.

It was like he got into a battle with some animals, and he wasn't healing on time.

She quietly cleaned them, expecting him to tell her where he got the wounds from, but they both kept mute.

“So you won't tell me what caused these bruises and wounds?”

She said to him, making him look at her.

But he buried his head, looking down at the floor.

“Desmond,” she called, and he slowly looked up at her.

“Answer me, will you?”

“You'll just leave like the rest of them if I tell you.”

He replied calmly, and at the same time, anger hinted in his tone.

“They haven't even learned who I am, and they all ran from me. How am I sure you won't do the same when you find out?”

“Who's telling you that nonsense?”

She looked at him with a raised brow and a frown.

“Do I look like someone who will judge you for anything?”

“But you do look like someone who can beat me up for anything.”

He mumbled, and for the first time she saw him ever so calm.

He didn't look like an Alpha right now.

He looked like a kid.

A broken kid who was hesitant to open up to anyone.

“Okay, if you won't tell me who did this to you, did you fight Lucas?”

She asked him, and at the mention of that name, he looked up at her with a frown.

“You like him, don't you?”

He asked.

And she looked at him with a raised brow.

“You like the guy. He is calm and gentle. Unlike me, he can be the man you want, and you'll live happily together.”

“What nonsense are you spouting, Desmond? Are you drunk?”

She asked, totally irritated.

“I won't even be caught dead with Lucas.”

“Do you know what he has done?”

“Do you know what I've done? That means you won't be caught dead with me either. I've done so many unforgivable things. Odessa, you would hate me the moment you know about my past and would never want to talk to me again.”

He cut her short.

“Do you think I care what you do? At least you're the only person I know who would treat me genuinely, as you feel. My own stepsister attempted to kill me so she could have my mate, and he said nothing about it, knowing her plan. She should be the one in here.”

“But I trust you to protect me from them, even though I don't know you well except the rumors.”

“What if I have been killed?”

She said.

And he didn't say a word.

“I don't care what you've done. We've all done things we can't control and things we can't go back on. But that doesn't mean you don't deserve a second chance. Or a third one, or a fourth one.”

“Would you still be with me if I told you I'm a monster?”

He asked her, staring deep into her eyes, trying to intimidate her.

But she just kept staring into his eyes in a daring manner.

“Would you still say all this you're saying if I told you I have killed thousands because I can't control myself when I get angry or get onto the battlefield?”

Odessa just stared at him, not showing any other expression than the one she had on since he started to talk.

“You don't know who I am, Odessa, and if you do, you will hate me.”

He continued.

“No. I know you've heard I've killed thousands with my bare hands, and yet you stand before me like I've done nothing. You treat me like I'm just an ordinary wolf, which is what I always wanted.”

“And you are the reason I've smiled since I can remember. I had forgotten what it felt like to smile. I didn't even know that I could smile again.”

He ranted, tears welling in his eyes.

“I am a hybrid Alpha wolf, Odessa.”

She was stunned by what he had just said.

She never believed hybrid wolves existed, and now he was telling her he was one.

“What?”

She asked, and he nodded.

“Everyone would look at me and be like, 'Oh my goodness, he's so lucky to be a hybrid wolf. He was blessed to be a hybrid wolf.'”

“But it is a curse for me, Odessa. It is more of a curse than it is a blessing.”

“Odessa, I can't control myself when needed. I kill thousands because of these same hybrid issues.”

“You might think I've been one long enough to be able to control myself, but no. My bloodlust keeps increasing, and I don't know why. It is driving me nuts, and I hate it.”

He thundered, making her cover her ears.

As the mirrors cracked and the window shattered.

“See, Tigress,” he whispered.

“You're not even safe around me. I can hurt you. You're too delicate to be broken like me. You're too delicate to go through everything I put people through.”

“I don't deserve you at all.”

“Don't say that, Desmond.”

She said, taking his hands in hers gently.

“I know you've gone through a lot. We all have, even though it weighs more than others' pain.”

“Just know that you deserve all the happiness in the world, Desmond, and I meant what I said.”

“You don't, Odessa. You're just trying to make me feel better by saying that.”

“There's nothing anyone can say. I'm a monster. I'll never stop feeling I'm one.”

“What good do you see in me that you aren't even scared of me?”

“You dared to request those things you wanted despite knowing how dangerous I am, and I could kill you for just the request.”

“You wouldn't dare kill me.”

She replied, ruffling his hair gently.

“Don't make me worried again, okay?”

He nodded gently before pulling her into a warm hug, staying in that position for a while.

After that, Odessa cleaned up the remaining wounds he had on and left for the room.

As he took a shower before covering his wounds with bandages, he watched her with so much interest as she placed all her focus on making sure she didn't hurt him.

Since the wounds weren't healing like they should, a smile appeared on his lips as the wind lifted her hair, revealing her whole face.

“Why are you looking at me in a creepy manner?”

She asked, tilting her head to a side, but her gaze was still on the bandage she was putting on his hand.

Slowly, he lifted her chin to make her look at him.

“You had a crush on Lucas, didn't you?”

He asked.

And she looked at him with a raised brow.

“Right, Desmond? Are you jealous of him?”

She asked with a smirk.

“He's so much younger than you are, and you're jealous of him.”

“You make me sound old.”

He replied, pushing the strands of hair in her face behind her ears as she cut out the last bandage and dropped the whole roll.

“Aren't you old?”

She asked with a teasing smile.

“Want to see what an old man can do?”

He teased, heading for his belt, making her let out a squeal as she covered her face with her palm.

Her cute action made him chuckle before pulling her into another hug.

“Thank you so much for today, Odessa.”

His voice came out just above a whisper.

“You're welcome.”

She replied with a small smile as she played with her hands while he wrapped his arms around her waist, his face buried in her neck as he slowly took in deep breaths.

She didn't move for some minutes before he finally let go of her, turning her to look at him.

“You don't have to make me an heir before you get whatever you want. I'm sorry if I was acting rude and demanding.”

He said calmly.

And she nodded before pulling him into a hug, patting his back gently.

“You'll be fine. Don't need to worry about it.”

“If you still want an heir, you'll have to prove to be the father of my baby.”

She smirked before walking out of the bathroom, and he couldn't help but chuckle.

“No problem. My Luna looks like a new assignment for me.”

He replied, looking at his bandaged hands.

He could feel they were already healing, but he kept the bandages on anyway.

“Is she falling in love with us?”

Des asked teasingly, and Desmond leaned into the wall with the smirk still on his face.

“I don't mind her falling in love with us. It's more like she understands us more now.”

He replied, turning to the mirror to look at his reflection.

He seemed to have changed since she arrived.

And he didn't know why, but he was very interested in the reason he changed.

“There's something interesting about her, and I want to know what it is.”

After the stressful day at the wedding hall, Odessa was finally able to go back to the room. Desmond was still down, talking to some people. And he had asked her to go take some rest if she wanted to. Odessa was stunned to see the two beds in the room gone and now replaced by a king-sized bed, which looked like it had just been neatly set. “Looks like you've really found your way deep into his heart for him to pick up you two sleeping together after marriage and not apart,” Aria chuckled teasingly. “Every husband and wife sleeps in the same bed. He'll be really dumb not to let that happen.” Odessa rolled her eyes as she headed into the bathroom, pulling off her clothes as she could. “Says the one who just enjoyed his kiss and couldn't deny it.” Aria teased again, and Odessa just let out a sigh of defeat. This would never be the end of the discussion of that kiss. “Okay, that's enough, Aria. It's embarrassing enough.” As she stepped out of the bathroom after cleaning up, sh

Odessa stood in front of the large floor-to-ceiling mirror in the main living room on their floor, not believing the day they had picked for the wedding had arrived. She still thought this was all a sarcastic comment till she saw the guests start arriving since the previous day. “Is this tight enough, my lady?” the seamstress asked her. She was helping Odessa into her red dress, which was the tradition of the pack. Any woman who was to be married to her husband-to-be would wear the red dress. “Or do you want me to—” “I'm going to choke. Please loosen it a little,” Odessa said, her voice just above a whisper, and the seamstress immediately did as she was asked. “That's much better.” Odessa sighed before looking at her reflection in the mirror. The dress was adorned with thousands of crystals, and the dress was very light and fitted her shape perfectly. Her hair was up in a majestic bun with red crystals and jewels hung in her hair. She looked more elegant than she usually did

Odessa sat opposite Desmond at the dining table for breakfast. The only sounds that could be heard were the faint connection of their cutleries and plates. Besides that, there was nothing but silence in the room till Odessa spoke up. “Alpha Devon told me I'm only here to give you an heir.” As she said that, he paused. After a few seconds, he continued like he did not hear what she said, and it annoyed her, but she didn't say a word and just started eating again. “So what do you think about it?” He finally said, making her look up at him with a raised brow. “What do you think about having an heir for me?” “Well, I don't have any bad thoughts towards it.” She replied, sipping from her glass of juice, her gaze focused on him. “But what's in it for me?” Her question shocked him, and for the first time since she arrived, she saw him smirk. “What's in it for you? You're a pawn in Alpha Devon's game, so you're only here so he can get his rewards.” He pointed out, and that made h

A scream escaped her lips as she saw that, and the lights were immediately flicked on. Desmond was standing there at the kitchen island, staring at her with a raised brow. “What were you so scared about?” he asked her, looking down at her fingers, which were being twisted in front of her. “I'm sorry. I was scared.” She let out a sigh of relief before looking around the kitchen, which looked beautiful. The kitchen island was in the middle of the room, a part of the wall glass from wall to ceiling, overlooking the forest behind the pack house. Although it was still raining outside, the outside was brightly lit with lamps all around. “If you're hungry, you can just make yourself something to eat.” He was oddly calm from the rumors she had heard about him. She stared right at him and didn't move from the spot she was, and this made him look in her direction again. “I would kill you on the spot if I wanted to kill you without you knowing, but it'll only be useless to me,” he said.

  • Reborn Luna:Her Second Chance Mate    Not Fit As My Alpha

Odessa walked into the pack house, which was strangely bigger on the outside than it was on the inside. It looked so beautiful. And she wondered how they allowed this many people in the pack house. “The ground floor is always very busy. Please follow me, my lady.” George said, gesturing towards the large stairs, which were the only part those in the pack house weren't walking through. “The pack house is open to just an amount of people. Most of them live in the pack house's spare apartments in the pack compound,” George explained as he led her up the next floor. “This is the important nobles' floor.” He said, turning to take her up the next flight of stairs leading to the next floor, which was the Delta's. The visit then was that of the Beta before reaching the floor where he told her all Alpha duties took place. “You won't see anyone on this floor unless ordered by the Alpha,” he explained before taking
