After the stressful day at the wedding hall, Odessa was finally able to go back to the room.

Desmond was still down, talking to some people.

And he had asked her to go take some rest if she wanted to.

Odessa was stunned to see the two beds in the room gone and now replaced by a king-sized bed, which looked like it had just been neatly set.

“Looks like you've really found your way deep into his heart for him to pick up you two sleeping together after marriage and not apart,” Aria chuckled teasingly.

“Every husband and wife sleeps in the same bed. He'll be really dumb not to let that happen.”

Odessa rolled her eyes as she headed into the bathroom, pulling off her clothes as she could.

“Says the one who just enjoyed his kiss and couldn't deny it.”

Aria teased again, and Odessa just let out a sigh of defeat.

This would never be the end of the discussion of that kiss.

“Okay, that's enough, Aria. It's embarrassing enough.”

As she stepped out of the bathroom after cleaning up, she heard a knock on the door.

Walking over to the door, she pulled it open, and to her shock, Lucas was standing on the other side of the door.

A box in his hands.

“What are you doing up here, Lucas?”

His eyes raked her body.

Seeing her in her nightdress, with the robe still open, made a smirk appear on his face.

“I wanted to see you alone.”

“No one is allowed on this floor, so just return to whatever floor you were given. Don't make me call the guards to drag you off my floor.”

Odessa warned him, her tone hinting at danger.

“Just relax, Odessa. Stop trying to use your authority on me because I'm also royalty like you, and I've been in it for a very long time, unlike you, who was pushed into it.”

Lucas said mockingly as he pushed past her, stepping into the room.

“What a comfortable-looking room.”

“Let me at him, Odessa,” Aria growled as she glared at Lucas.

“It's okay, Aria. Fighting him in the room will only cause trouble, so let's just talk him out.”

Odessa pulled Aria back, who hissed angrily.

“What do you want, Lucas?”

She asked again, her arms folded across her chest, a frown settling on her lips.

“I won't ask you to relax. I brought you your marriage present.”

He flashed her a smile before tossing the box to her.

With a frown, she pulled the box open and immediately closed it as she saw lingerie in it.

“What? Don't you like it? Or your husband doesn't?”

“I won't mind you wearing it for me instead.”

He sat on the bed with a smug smile, and in anger, Odessa stormed over to him, hitting him straight in the face.

“You lack respect, and I wouldn't mind knocking some into you.”

She hissed angrily.

His expression turned dark for a second as he wiped the corner of his lips.

“You really have become proud.”

Lucas chuckled with a flash of danger in his eyes.

This made Odessa step back cautiously.

“I'm trying to be nicer to you, and you're here trying to do this? I am your mate, not him. And you won't be here if my father didn't give you the opportunity.”

“So what are you trying to say? I'm here saving your pack's butt. And so you know, I was serious when I rejected you that night. I'd rather die again and again than accept you as my mate.”

She spat angrily, escaping his grasp just before he could touch her.

“Don't get your filthy hands on me.”

Lucas managed to grab her hand.

But as he did so, the door swung open, and Desmond was standing there with his arms folded across his chest.

“Who gave you permission to get up to my wife?”

His voice came out coldly, his gaze boring into Lucas, who glared back at him.

“Do you think you can take another man's woman and make her yours, Desmond? She belongs to me, and she is my mate. I don't care who you are or what you're going to do, but she does belong to me.”

Lucas thundered.

Desmond looked over to Odessa, who was glaring at Lucas like she would kill him at any second.

“Can you let the lady say she is your mate? Then? I heard clearly when she said she rejected you. You must be much worse than your appearance.”

Desmond replied calmly, and Odessa tried hard not to burst into laughter as he said that.

“How dare you?”

Lucas gritted his teeth as he let go of Odessa, looking straight at Desmond, who just calmly leaned against the door frame with a raised brow.

“What will you do about me?” he asked.

“You know your pack depends mainly on me, and you acting foolishly will only make your father look for someone else to take over the Alpha position after his rule.”

“Let me look at this fool. How dare he touch her?”

Des growled as Desmond glared at Lucas.

“You're taking this lightly. Let's just get rid of him.”

“We can't do that. If we do, it'll only cause problems for me. You'll be resting because you can't deal with a single pack affair.”

Desmond replied calmly.

“And you won't want her seeing us lose control, would you?”

“You think you can speak so well? Why don't you face me one-on-one in a battle, and we'll see who is the most powerful one.”

Lucas grinned in a devilish way, which made Odessa and Desmond look at him like he was crazy.

He knew Desmond was much stronger than he was, and Odessa could tell he was onto something sinister.

“Are you crazy?”

Odessa asked Lucas.

“He is clearly stronger than you are and would only kill you.”

“You think he is better than me? He is, you idiot.”

Odessa brought her palm up to her face with a sigh.

Desmond walked towards Lucas.

With a single push, he was out of the room already.

“Get out and don't get on my nerves. I won't mind killing you on the spot if you dare get on my nerves. And there's nothing your father would do about you being dead.”

Lucas glared at him before throwing his head back in laughter.

“I knew it. You're nothing but a coward. You can't even stand up to me and fight me like a man.”

Lucas taunted.

And Desmond could feel the anger rise within him.

“What is he doing?” Aria gasped.

“He knows Desmond is short-tempered.”

“That's exactly what he's trying to do. Provoke Desmond to attack him.”

Odessa gasped.

“Desmond, don't listen to him. He's just trying to get on your nerves.”

Odessa said to him, and Desmond took a deep breath, not wanting to lose control before Odessa.

She didn't deserve to see him in a bad state at all.

“Coward.”

Lucas mumbled loud enough for him to hear before walking away.

Suddenly, something inside Desmond snapped.

“I'll just be right back. Aria, do not come out of the room.”

He warned her before walking out of the room at full speed.

“Please don't tell me he wants to kill Lucas, and I won't be there to watch.”

Aria asked in excitement.

“You aren't getting what I'm trying to say here, Aria. I don't care about Lucas. But this is clearly a trap to make him do what he doesn't want to do. They want him to hurt Lucas so they would be able to tie something to him and manipulate him.”

Odessa rushed to the door, but it was locked from outside.

“Damn. He was serious about me not coming out.”

“Did you expect him to turn it into a joke?” Aria asked.

“You are not helping.”

She gritted her teeth.

Downstairs, Lucas rolled on the floor like he slipped from the stairs.

“Who do you think you are?”

Desmond's voice came out dangerously and faithfully.

Lucas started to tremble.

He wasn't expecting this when his father asked him to taunt Desmond.

“You can't come into my home, try to taunt me and make me lose control, just to fall into your trap and that of your father.”

“Do not get on my nerves, Lucas.”

He warned.

Everyone had already gathered to see him deal with Lucas, but he obviously knew what they were trying to do and wouldn't fall victim to it at all.

“You just attacked my son, Alpha Desmond. I don't care whatever he did, but we're all here to celebrate with you and not return with bruises and wounds.”

Alpha Devon said.

And Desmond threw his head back in laughter.

“What the hell are you talking about?”

Desmond asked, his eyes flashing with danger.

“Would you like me to show you why you even fear me?”

Desmond walked into the room after what felt like an eternity, covered in blood.

“Oh my goodness, Desmond, what did you do?”

There was silence between the two as Odessa wiped off the wounds on his hands. It was like he got into a battle with some animals, and he wasn't healing on time. She quietly cleaned them, expecting him to tell her where he got the wounds from, but they both kept mute. “So you won't tell me what caused these bruises and wounds?” She said to him, making him look at her. But he buried his head, looking down at the floor. “Desmond,” she called, and he slowly looked up at her. “Answer me, will you?” “You'll just leave like the rest of them if I tell you.” He replied calmly, and at the same time, anger hinted in his tone. “They haven't even learned who I am, and they all ran from me. How am I sure you won't do the same when you find out?” “Who's telling you that nonsense?” She looked at him with a raised brow and a frown. “Do I look like someone who will judge you for anything?” “But you do look like someone who can beat me up for anything.” He mumbled, and for the first time

Odessa stood in front of the large floor-to-ceiling mirror in the main living room on their floor, not believing the day they had picked for the wedding had arrived. She still thought this was all a sarcastic comment till she saw the guests start arriving since the previous day. “Is this tight enough, my lady?” the seamstress asked her. She was helping Odessa into her red dress, which was the tradition of the pack. Any woman who was to be married to her husband-to-be would wear the red dress. “Or do you want me to—” “I'm going to choke. Please loosen it a little,” Odessa said, her voice just above a whisper, and the seamstress immediately did as she was asked. “That's much better.” Odessa sighed before looking at her reflection in the mirror. The dress was adorned with thousands of crystals, and the dress was very light and fitted her shape perfectly. Her hair was up in a majestic bun with red crystals and jewels hung in her hair. She looked more elegant than she usually did

Odessa sat opposite Desmond at the dining table for breakfast. The only sounds that could be heard were the faint connection of their cutleries and plates. Besides that, there was nothing but silence in the room till Odessa spoke up. “Alpha Devon told me I'm only here to give you an heir.” As she said that, he paused. After a few seconds, he continued like he did not hear what she said, and it annoyed her, but she didn't say a word and just started eating again. “So what do you think about it?” He finally said, making her look up at him with a raised brow. “What do you think about having an heir for me?” “Well, I don't have any bad thoughts towards it.” She replied, sipping from her glass of juice, her gaze focused on him. “But what's in it for me?” Her question shocked him, and for the first time since she arrived, she saw him smirk. “What's in it for you? You're a pawn in Alpha Devon's game, so you're only here so he can get his rewards.” He pointed out, and that made h

A scream escaped her lips as she saw that, and the lights were immediately flicked on. Desmond was standing there at the kitchen island, staring at her with a raised brow. “What were you so scared about?” he asked her, looking down at her fingers, which were being twisted in front of her. “I'm sorry. I was scared.” She let out a sigh of relief before looking around the kitchen, which looked beautiful. The kitchen island was in the middle of the room, a part of the wall glass from wall to ceiling, overlooking the forest behind the pack house. Although it was still raining outside, the outside was brightly lit with lamps all around. “If you're hungry, you can just make yourself something to eat.” He was oddly calm from the rumors she had heard about him. She stared right at him and didn't move from the spot she was, and this made him look in her direction again. “I would kill you on the spot if I wanted to kill you without you knowing, but it'll only be useless to me,” he said.

  • Reborn Luna:Her Second Chance Mate    Not Fit As My Alpha

Odessa walked into the pack house, which was strangely bigger on the outside than it was on the inside. It looked so beautiful. And she wondered how they allowed this many people in the pack house. “The ground floor is always very busy. Please follow me, my lady.” George said, gesturing towards the large stairs, which were the only part those in the pack house weren't walking through. “The pack house is open to just an amount of people. Most of them live in the pack house's spare apartments in the pack compound,” George explained as he led her up the next floor. “This is the important nobles' floor.” He said, turning to take her up the next flight of stairs leading to the next floor, which was the Delta's. The visit then was that of the Beta before reaching the floor where he told her all Alpha duties took place. “You won't see anyone on this floor unless ordered by the Alpha,” he explained before taking
