Without turning back, Sherry followed her instinct and ran along the familiar but dark corridor. She could hear footsteps behind her when she was halfway done. She gritted her teeth and increased her pace as she made a run for it.

“Ahh,” Sherry hissed in pain when she fell down on her knees. Wobbling, she forced herself to stand up and even if she was limping, she continued to run.

She knew she could not have hurt Chris when she hit him back there, but it was enough to buy time for her to keep her distance between them. Taking the help of her muscle memory, she finally reached the open lobby of the 7th floor.

“A-anyone? Help!” She shouted as soon as she was in the open but got no response.

As she rushed out of the hallway, she noticed that the light in the other buildings was still on. It was only her floor that had lost its power. Also, weirdly, there was no one there except her at that moment…as if she was isolated and everything was planned.
