Aria’s POV

I turned sharply.

“Elara?”

She froze in the doorway, almost completely healed, wide-eyed, as though she hadn’t expected to find me there.

“Oh...Aria, you’re here.”

I narrowed my eyes, “Obviously. What are you doing here?”

Her lips curved into a nervous smile as she stepped inside.

“I was looking for you, my darling best friend. I needed us to talk.”

“What is it this time?”

I exhaled slowly, releasing my father’s hand and standing.

She hesitated, twisting her fingers together like a guilty child.

“I... I need some money from you please.”

My brows rose, “some money from me?”

“Yes.” Her voice rushed now, tripping over itself. “I just need you to lend me some money for a little while. I’ll pay you back, of course, you know I will. It’s just...I’ve had some expenses lately and I’m low on cash.”

I studied her quietly, she was low on cash? When had she ever had money?

Last I remembered she had a good paying job but guess what she does with her salary?

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    Something like that has happened to us before…

Aria’s POV The courtyard was quiet after Ronan left, but I could still feel his presence clinging to the air. My chest was tight, but Eros’s voice pulled me back.“Something like this,” he said suddenly, “already happened in my pack.”I stopped walking for a moment, my brows drawing together. “What do you mean?”His gaze flicked to mine, sharp and unreadable, then back ahead. “A man tried to break into my pack lands a few weeks ago when I had gone home.” His tone was steady, but there was something buried underneath, something almost grim. “We caught him and I saw his face.”My heartbeat stumbled.“So...” I said carefully, searching his face for a clue, “you think it could be the same person?”His jaw flexed, but he didn’t answer immediately. For a second, I thought he wouldn’t. But then he said, “That’s why I want to see him. If it’s the same man, then this isn’t just about your pack, Aria. It’s bigger, much bigger than you think.”The words sank heavy in my chest. A hundred que

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    What if he was my doom?

Aria’s POV “Hey, hey, cuz,” Eros’s deep voice rang out, casual but commanding all at once. He strode toward us, his black coat brushing against his boots as he crossed the courtyard. “Where have you been? I’ve been looking for you.”Ronan smirked, folding his arms loosely. “Looking for me? What, so you can babysit me now?”Eros arched a brow, his lips twitching into a grin. “Babysit you? You’d be lucky if anyone wasted time babysitting you. Maybe I should get you a leash.”Ronan chuckled, shaking his head. “You wish.”Their banter was quick, sharp, the kind only people who’d known each other all their lives could have so easily. For a second, the tension I’d been carrying almost cracked, almost softened.Almost.Because while they joked, my mind was still circling the prison, the masked intruder, and the way his laugh had scratched at my nerves.Ronan finally gave a small bow, his smile fading back into a calm mask. “I’ll take my leave. Try not to miss me too much, King Eros.”“G

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    He is always around

Aria’s POV Everywhere was silent. My questions bounced off him like stones thrown into the void. His eyes locked onto mine, unblinking, unyielding, as if daring me to try harder.“Say something!” My voice rose without permission. My frustration boiled over, sharp and hot.But he only chuckled low, shaking his head slightly, the sound mocking in its quietness.I wanted to scream. To shake him. To break through whatever wall of silence he was hiding behind. But deep inside, I knew he was going to be a hard nut to crack. And right now, no matter how many questions I hurled at him, he wasn’t going to answer.I swallowed hard, forcing myself to step back. My voice was clipped, cold. “Keep a close eye on him,” I told Marv. “Double the airlocks. Make sure he doesn’t escape until he’s ready to talk.”“Yes, my lady,” Marv said, bowing his head.I turned sharply on my heel, my chest still heavy with the weight of unanswered questions. The sound of the intruder’s quiet laugh followed me out, e

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    Why are you here? Who sent you?!

Aria’s POV Inside, the chamber was dimly lit by a single torch mounted on the wall. Shadows clung to the corners like waiting predators. And there he was.A man, seated on a stool near the wall. His head was bowed, a black hood covering his face, his clothes dark, blending almost seamlessly into the darkness. His wrists were bound, his posture oddly relaxed, as though none of this bothered him in the least way.For a heartbeat, I just stared at him, frozen. Then I stepped forward, my voice tight but steady. “Who are you?”I asked, but silence greeted me back.“Who are you?” I repeated, my tone sharper this time. “What are you doing in this pack?”The man didn’t move. His head stayed bowed, the hood completely hiding his face from me.My skin prickled, “Can you hear me? Turn and face me.”I barked, but still he said nothing.I clenched my fists, forcing my tone to remain calm even as my pulse roared in my ears. “I said, look at me!”And then, slowly, deliberately, he lifted his head.

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    The intruder has been caught!

Aria’s POV “Lady Aria.”I turned, startled. Elder Hamon was standing there, his wrinkled face half-shadowed by the torchlight on the corridor walls. His posture was stiff, and there was something in his eyes; something weighty, that made my stomach churn.“Yes, Elder?” My voice came out sharper than I intended, impatience laced with the worry I was trying to bury deep inside. He stepped closer, lowering his tone, as if afraid someone else might overhear. “The Betas found an intruder last night inside the pack grounds.”I froze, my blood turning cold.“What?” I yelled, the word tumbling out before I could catch it.“They captured him and he is in their custody now,” Hamon continued, his lined face unreadable. “We thought that you might want to see him yourself. Perhaps you can identify him.”For a moment, I could only stare at him. My mind spun, colliding with fragments of memory, the shadowy figure outside my father’s chambers, the fleeting silhouette in the woods, and my throa

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    He dropped a banger news!!

Aria’s POV Lowell nodded, then turned toward me once more and bowed deeply. “My lady.”I shifted uncomfortably, murmuring something that barely passed for acknowledgment. His eyes flicked between us, then he was gone, retreating into the exit as silently as he’d come. The air in the car was different now, somewhat heavier.I studied Eros out of the corner of my eye. His face was composed again, but I wasn’t fooled. His countenance had changed the moment Lowell appeared, and it hadn’t returned to what it was before.“What was that about?” I asked finally, unsure if he’d answer. His gaze stayed fixed on the road as he started the car. “Nothing for you to worry about.”“That’s not an answer.” My jaw clenched. He smirked faintly, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “You’ll think that I rarely give you answers, Aria. But it’s for the best, at least for now.”I glared, but he didn’t budge, and frustration knotted in my chest. Still, something in his expression told me pressing further would be
