Chapter 4. Harris, It's him!

At this moment, a strange man appeared, pressed close to her and reached out his dirty hand to touch her body. Her face turned pale and she turned around to catch the face of that pervert. The place where she stood was damn quiet and there was a lack of people at this time, so that man could dare to harass her.

Opposed to that bastard thought, Catherine was not soft enough to act on. She immediately raised her hand to give him a slap. With a sudden act, that pervert man was surprised but could not do anything other than stand still and have a slap right on his cheek.

Shhh. It hurt! Catherine grimaced but quickly calmed down. She lowered her voice and yelled at his face:

“Don’t you dare to touch me?”

“S***! You little w***!”

That bastard raised his eyebrows, and closed the distance with Catherine. He gritted his teeths and hissed every inch to push Catherine back. That man tried to grab her to retaliate for the slap back.

That was a dangerous situation for Catherine. She had courage and bravery but she still was a weak girl. No one could appear to help her out of danger right now!

Shit! It was bad! Very bad!

Before that bastard could push his dirty hand on her again, someone acted before Catherine could call out for help.

"Ahhh! My arm!"

A tall man grabbed that bastard’s arm, twisted it back, causing him to cry out in pain. There was a crackling sound of bone joints, right in front of her eyes, that man took the next movement before that pervert could unleash a kick by knocking him to the ground.

That bastard rolled his eyes from the pain, still was speechless, and was quickly escorted away by the security nearby.

When he was done, he turned his face back and asked her stiffly:

"Are you hurt, lady?"

Catherine's eyes widened in surprise, her whole body stiffening when their eyes first met. This voice, this look and this figure… How could she forget? Never and never Catherine should forget, even if he was gonna burn into ashes.

It was him, Christopher Harris.

Memory with regret and love suddenly came like a flood in her mind and it seemed to leak out by each drop of tear coming down from her eyes.

Unknowingly she cried, not sobbing, but two tracks of tears continued to flow down her beautiful face. Her lips moved at unknown words, she couldn't move even a single finger.

He frantically watched her cry, and his stiff face must also show confusion. He suddenly felt an indescribable pain, as if his intestines and liver had been cut into pieces.

Before Harris could ask her why, Catherine just suddenly fell off. A ton of emotions got her out of control, then she couldn’t take it any longer.

She just fell to the ground, before his worried eyes.

“Miss, miss. Please wake up!”

Harris felt panicked right now and his heart hurt alot. He just realized that from the moment he looked at that girl, he couldn’t be normal as usual. The people nearby had gathered around them. Harris grabbed her in his arms, carefully carried her like a little princess and said to one security man standing next by:

“She had gone with someone else. You wait here and announce to me if someone is looking for her.”

“Yes boss.”

Catherine had been dreaming. In that dream, she saw a man with a hazy face but extremely gentle, cherishing her like a precious jewel.

She dreamed of herself being floated like a cloud in midair, and saw herself  lying quietly in the arms of one man.

She saw him crying and kissing her ice cold lips.

And Catherine saw that he had buried her by his own hands.

Catharine felt her heart throb every second with each beat, and then a choking pain welled up inside her, letting out in tears and pouring down her pretty face like rain.

Catherine silently cried while still fainting in his arms. Her hot teardrops falling down on his palm, like hot pearls and it made his heart flutter.

She was lying on the sofa in the restroom of that building. For Harris, that was so unusual. He was indifferent to women but could not coldly treat that little girl. With only one look, Harris couldn't be normal and then let his heart overwhelm his mind.

Catherine's face was delicate like an angel. Her red lips and blonde hair spilling over the pillow like a glowing waterfall. It made Harris unable to take his eyes off her. He paused for a moment, squeezed his fingertips and then hesitated to place his hand on her forehead to check her temperature.

No fever at all, it's fine.

The medical team also appeared. When seeing the considerate appearance of their boss, they couldn’t help but froze for a few seconds. This had never happened before. This calm and cool man has never shown any interest or had any love scandal. Twenty-seven years old, this man was still alone and they had thought their boss had not had any normal feelings of love.

Harris didn't pay attention to the strange eyesight of everyone around him. He said softly as if afraid to wake this little angel up:

"Let’s check her. If there's anything abnormal and she needs to go to the hospital, call an ambulance immediately. Don't be late."

"Yes sir. Please step back, we need to check on her."

Harris nodded, his mind still a little confused. The feeling of desolation still lingered in him. The questions why and why his heart was so abnormal, why he could care about the stranger like that girl so much still stuck in his mind. But beyond that, Harris didn't have any malicious suspicions toward that girl.

She was strong and beautiful. For only a few seconds, he was unable to take his eyes off her. Harris was so flustered by these sudden outbursts of emotions. So strange and so uncontrollable.

At this moment, Catherine grimaced and gradually regained consciousness. Harris's nervous tension was relieved and before he or she could speak a word, Jake rushed from outside and shouted:

“Cate! Cate! You're here? Are you alright?”

When looking at Catherine still drowsy, Jake’s anger had bursted. He yelled out loud:

"Bastard! What are you doing to my friend?"

Harris reacted very quickly, stepping back to avoid Jake’s punch. The medical team still was in shock and rushed out to stop Jake. Harris frowned and said back:

“Let him out and you guys go outside. No need to stand here.”

“... yes sir.”

Catherine was fully awake. Before Jake took the further action, she got off the sofa and ran to Harris, then stood between them two. She said urgently:

"Please stop it Jake! I am alright. Nothing's gonna happen as you thought."

Jake glared at Harris with suspicious eyes. He turned to Catherine and asked nervously:

"It's not like that? Then why are you here, on that sofa and fainted? He touched you?"

"It's not like that...", She frantically explained, her small face red with shame, "He was my benefactor. Someone tried to grovel at me but was knocked out by him already. I was too scared and then… I… I didn’t know why I was fainted."

"Really?"
