Chapter 9. Dreaming about you

Harris had never felt so embarrassed as he did now. Even when he stood in front of the board of directors to tame stiff old men as well as deal with big deals, he had never felt himself so panicky and insecure. The moment he saw her back turn, sensed that she was about to leave, his heart suddenly ached with indescribable pain.

The sharp pain made it hard for him to breathe and a moment flashed through his mind that if he didn't hold Catherine back, she would be gone and never seen again.

The warm heat where the two skins touched, like an electric current running through Harris's body, made his eyes filled with so many emotions that are difficult to describe in words. Her red lips moved, shyly asking him back:

“What do you mean?”

“I don’t know. It’s so strange to say that. Please forgive me.”
