Chapther 10. Her new friend

Catherine woke up from a nightmare. Her whole body was drenched in sweat, her breathing ragged. She collapsed, clutching her chest and closing her eyes, repeatedly saying to herself:

"It's okay. It's over."

"You're fine. It's okay."

The tremors all over the body gradually subsided, but the image of the past was still hauntingly scary. She stroked her face, told herself there was nothing to fear and staggered into the bathroom. Her face reflected panic and terrible weakness. Can't blame it, it's so easy to forget about the past life. She must learn to forget or get used to it.

Catherine took minutes in the bath room to calm down. When her fingers stopped trembling, her cheeks went normally again, she lazily left the room, startled to remember that today was a school day. As the date of the second semester exam approached, her performance was unsightly, especially in the last year of highschool.

"Oh, so boring."

She prepared her books, then looked at her phone and froze in surprise. All
