"Did she fight you?" I ask Kane when he comes back from putting the baby down for the night. Having him on nights like this is always a blessing. He takes care of his daughter so beautifully,

“Welcome home.” My cousin Nathan says standing at his guest bedroom door. He looks at me for a long time, silent. He’s looking at me like I’m a stranger. I guess, I kind of am a stranger in a way.
