Chapter 77

The humid night air hummed with tension as I stepped into the circle, the crescent moon casting an eerie glow on the gathered figures. This was my first official meeting with the Lyla’s pack, and the atmosphere crackled with unease. Whispers swirled around me, laced with suspicion and fear.

Tulane University was gripped by terror. Students were vanishing, some rumoured to be dead. The pack was on edge. "We have got students going missing, it’s really strange," he growled, his voice echoing through the trees. "Someone's playing with fire, and it ain't us." a grizzled guy named Silas, slammed his fist on a makeshift table, silencing the murmurs.

"We must act fast," he declared, his eyes glinting with urgency. "These killings cannot be allowed to continue, not if they cast suspicion on our kind."

"It started when she arrived," growled a burly werewolf named Rex, who turned to look at me, his voice heavy with suspicion. "Trouble follows her like a shadow."
