Chapter 5

As she spotted him opening the door to his car, about stepping in, she turned to leave. It wouldn't be so nice if he caught her spying on him.

"Were you stalking me?"

Amelia let out a short scream as she sighted him standing by the left side of the road.

No way, she just saw him. He was about entering his car. How...how did he get here.

Amelia's eyes widened in shock as she kept glancing at him and glancing behind her. "No, no I wasn't stalking you."

Sebastian stared at her with his brows raised before closing to her. "Stay out of my way, human girl." He warned in a deep voice.

Amelia gulped down a heavy lump in her throat as she felt shivers run down her spine. "We are both humans, you don't call a fellow human that way. It's rude."

Sebastian stood still, staring at her with a deadly look on his face.

Amelia stared back at him innocently, squeezing her fingers together as she tried to maintain her gaze on his, so he wouldn't think she's weak.

She heaved out a sign of relief as he took his eyes away from her and walked past her.

Sebastian stood a few meters away from her, staring at her from over his shoulder. "Don't mess with me human and stay out of my path or else I'll end you."

Amelia's heart skipped a beat as she heard him say that. She turned around slowly to stare at him as he walked back to the company.

*What the hell is wrong with him?*

"Hey! Hey! What's up with you?"

Amelia looked up to see leaning against the counter, her pink hair tied in a messy bun, with few strands over her face.

"Nothing, I'm fine." Amelia replied, resting her chin on her left hand.

"Hmm, I don't think so. What's up with the dull face?" Cookie asked, quirking her brows at her, quizzically.

"Nothing Cookie, I'm fine." Amelia responded, letting out a sign.

"What made you run out of the bar this morning like you were being chased by a dog?"

"Oh that?" Amelia's eyes widened in suprise and she immediately removed her chin from her palm, scratching her hair nervously. "Erm, I..... I forgot something!"

"Forgot something?" Cookie raised a brow at her suspiciously.

"Forgot.... Forgot I had something to do." She quickly corrected, smiling nervously. She can't let her know. She doesn't want her thinking of her as a psychopath.

"Hmm." Cookie kept staring at her, her eyes filled with suspicion. "Whatever." She said, shaking her head.

"Okay, gotta go! There's a lot of hot dudes around, I could get some free tips." She said winking at her.

"Oh god." Amelia groaned, slapping her right palm on her forehead. "Just don't forget you have a boyfriend Cookie, and he loves you."

"I didn't say anything about cheating Amy." Cookie laughed, cocking her hips to the side.

"Just don't."

"Sure, sure. Gotta go." Cookie laughed and turned around walking into the bar, swaying her hips lightly, obviously to cause attraction.

"Is she the one?"

Ralph stared out of the window, just in time to see Amelia walk out of the bar into the street.

"Yes Alpha." He replied, taking a quick glance at Sebastian before returning his gaze to Amelia.

Sebastian had ordered him to drive them here, they had been sitting here for about thirty minutes without the alpha saying a word.

About five minutes ago, he began asking him questions about the mate he found.

Right after Amelia stepped out of the bar, Ralph realized all the Alpha wanted was confirmation.

He also knows there's no reason for the Alpha to be interested in knowing the human mate, unless she's his.

Ralph knows she's the Alpha's Mate and now was the only time to confirm it.

"She's your mate." Ralph stated, staring at the Alpha king who stared back at him, his face expressionless, making it hard to read.

"She's your mate right?"

Sebastian at him with a blank face before ordering. "Drive."

Ralph let out a deep sign, taking his hand to the car key, igniting the engine. He took one last glance at the Alpha who kept his gaze on Amelia, before driving away.

Amelia walked out of the bar into the cool night, taking a deep breath as the cool evening breeze caressed her skin. She tucked her hands into the pocket of her hoodie, walking down the street.

She took her eyes around the street, walking non stop as she felt eyes on her.

She took her gaze around her, scrutinizing the surroundings. There was a long row of cars at the other side of the road, but the street was empty.

The incident that happened nights ago suddenly flashed in her head. She took one last glance around the street before scurrying off.

Amelia walked out of the elevator, pulling out her door keys from her bag. She groaned lightly as she kept fumbling with the keys, unable to unlock the door.

"Hello,"

Amelia looked up to see a man dressed in black tuxedo, with his jet black hair gelled back and dark green eyes.

Why was she also meeting men in tuxedos these days.

"Hi," She replied, standing straight. "How can I help you?"

"Do you know Anna, I think she lives here."

"Sorry, I don't know. I barely know anyone here." She replied truthfully, she barely knows anyone here.

"Okay..." He turned around to leave but turned back swiftly to her, asking. "Do you know Sebastian?"

Sebastian?!! The only Sebastian she knows is her rescuer. "Errr, no."

"Sebastian Duncan??" He asked again, quirking his brows at her.

Sebastian Duncan! Of course she knows him. Her rescuer, the man in her dreams. She knows him but she doesn't plan on saying that to a total stranger.

"I'm sorry, I don't know who you're talking about." Amelia replied.

"Oh okay, anyway thank you." He said, offering her a smile before stretching out his hand. "I'm Derek by the way, Derek Ferguson." He said, the corner of his lips stretching into a smile.

"Ehh, okay." Amelia stared doubtfully at his outstretched palm, not taking it.

Derek retrieved his palm with a warm smile. "It's nice meeting you anyway. Thank you so much for your time." He gave a quick nod before he turned around and walked away, heading to the elevator.

As he approached it, a smirk appeared on his lips. He has gotten what he wanted, he read her mind the entire time. He has also seen Sebastian and his beta, Ralph sitting in the car, watching her come out of the bar.

That was all he needed.

Amelia stared at the retreating figure of the unknown guy with an unsure look on her face. She successfully unlocked the door, stepping into the room.

She locked the door and let out a sign of relief, muttering. "Weird guy."
