Chapter Twenty Nine

Sunny’s POV

I mentally facepalm myself. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Her eyes are trained on Izzy's stomach and the blood that is spilling out of her.

“Caterina look at me. Focus on my voice. You do not want to hurt Izzy or any of us. Think about your son, your grandbabies. How would that make him feel?” I say trying to distract her.

I continue to work while talking. Leo needs to get here now so he can shove a blood bag in her mouth. Why was it taking him so long? I hear her phone ringing on the counter. And tune it out.

“Caterina, I know that you can fight the crazy, you just need to believe in yourself. You have held yourself together, do it just one more time. Can you do that for me?” I ask looking up at her.

She gives me a tight nod, I can see that she is holding her breath, looking like she is in pain. She does not look back down but to her phone on the counter.

“One of you grabbed Caterina’s phone, brought it here and put it on speaker. It has to be Nick.” I say.
