Yesterday was so beautiful, too beautiful actually.Bones let me sleep in his private chamber at the training ground and when he was ready to retire for the day, he carried me home.I had to bury my face in his shoulder at some point with all the stares we gathered on the way.He bathed me, made sure I ate something and filled me up with Pack stories while I was away. Then he read to me and ricked me to sleep before leaving for his room. When I woke up this morning, I felt so calm and energized. But then I recalled that I plan on speaking to Gaston this morning.Breakfast was just me. I woke up late and I had breakfast in my room. Yet again, the new maid, Fresca, was the one who served me.Adina was still not back to me. I asked Fresca about Adina, and she shook her head, telling me she had no idea.I quickly dressed up and made my way to Gaston's office. He doesn't seem surprised to see me.He offers me a seat by pointing to the cha~Xyana~I stare at my reflection in the mirror, and It feels like I'm gradually morphing into someone with a bigger purpose in life.Everything is happening at once, and as terrifying as it seems, I feel grateful that I have a role to play and that some of the strongest men I've ever known will, at one point, rely on me to save our kind. It's too shocking to be true. As I stare at my reflection, I tug my hair gently. I guess it's time I finally change my hair to a black or deep brown. New Luna, new hair, upgraded personality...'Goddess, where are these stupid thoughts coming from?' I chuckle, stepping away from the mirror.A knock comes on the door, and when I ask the visitor to come in, it turns out to be Fresca bringing in laundry. She greeted me and walked over to the walk-in closet to drop them. When she came out I decided to rephrase the usual question I've been asking her for days. Fresca, does the Alpha know that Adina doesn't work as m
~Gaston~The Pack's border defense is tight-clad; the warriors are ready. Most of the smaller Packs that have pledged their allegiance to my Pack, have their warriors trained and ready to strike at my call. It's been a stressful couple of weeks for everyone. The Pack's security has been doubled and the warriors barely sleep as much as they do previously. There's an incoming war; that much we've informed the warriors. But the source of the war hasn't been fully explained. How do I explain to them that we'll be fighting against the supernatural? Why in the Goddess's name is this war coming in my time? I've been able to draft out the specifics. Odus's curse is meant to be lifted in the next full moon which is exactly three weeks from now. But I'm not certain of the exact time. An attack on my kind would have to be launched a few hours or minutes before that. Werewolves fighting alongside a marked Moon-made and her Alpha would make it impossible for t
~Xyana~In Dion's absence, I wailed like a baby. Not only has he changed, but he seems hell-bent on not accepting Gaston.Later in the evening, when Clifton came to see me, I had already cried so much that I was feeling so sick. So I just lay down, curled up in my bed.Clifton got straight into my bed, pulled me into him, and started to caress my back to comfort me. I didn't have to tell him a thing, I knew he could feel my emotionsThe fact that he was soothing me, made me break into fresh sobs. Yet he doesn't stop consoling me. Finally, I was able to calm down enough to tell him everything, that transpired between Dion and me. He doesn't frown or get angry. He just shakes his head and kisses my forehead. "He doesn't have the final say, Baby. At the end of the day, it is your decision to make. We all are equally possessive towards you, but this is the only option. I swear I would never accept another Alpha staking a claim on you." He lets his fingers slide up and down my side in a
~Xyana~I didn't have to go in search of Dion, he was already heading out of my room. When he sees me approaching, he stops in his tracks and waits. "Dion," I call, rushing up to meet him."Where are you coming from? I'm certain you've not been cleared to leave the Packhouse, at least not with a guard.""I only went to see Gaston," I reply, standing idly beside him since he didn't seem like he would appreciate a hug if I attempt giving him one."You went to see the Alpha," he repeats my words as if he was finding it hard to believe. "What about?"I sigh and tug his arm, "Come on, let's go inside." I almost thought he was pushing me away when he remained rigid on the floor. But he finally sighs and follows me. We enter my room and shut the door, Dion stands close to the door, his hands in his pants pocket while I stroll across the room to sit on the bed."So, how are you feeling?" He asks, and I let out a sigh."I'm taking it one day at a time. Everything sounds too sudden and overwh

~Xyana~It took me a few more turns before I got to the warrior's training ground. Activities were booming. There was no sign of Bones at first, but the warriors pointed me to a closed room. I knocked at first but when I didn't get any word from the person behind the door, I pushed it open.Bones was sitting on the only sofa in the room. The room itself is a pretty and scarcely furnished space that holds a few decent furniture, including a bed."Pretty," he calls standing up and rushing towards me. "What are you doing here?" I don't miss the shock in his voice too."I had to speak to you." I voice out.The way things ended at the little meeting we had with Gaston wasn't nice. I acknowledge that I should have spoken to each of them first before making such a proposal to Gaston. But I had no idea our discussion would go that way. "Bones, I'm so sorry..."He melts at my apology and walks over to meet me at the door. Surprisingly, he hugged me
