The silence we shared wasn't something so bad. It was just right. I wouldn't have preferred it any other way.

"Wow- wow- wow Hey, where are you taking them too?" I asked my mum as she walked with Asher and Nick, those are my best friends and she was taking them to only God knows where.

'Time flies, doesn't it?' Lyall teased and I ignored him, I rolled my eyes, I maintained my straight face.

'I thought you would be excited, you are beginning to get fond of these kids. It will be a quiet afternoon and you can finally talk to Sydney and have a spicy time.' Lyall added and I knew he wanted nothing but a troublemaker. I just smiled to ignore him.

"I need time to let off steam." She replied and I shook my head. "I am taking them out, an afternoon date." She shrugged as she spoke, she sounded so happy, relieved too. I got jealous, very actually. She gets to spend time with them. Her eyebrows went higher and she waved goodbye.

"Have fun!" Sdyney added as she laid back. "Bye mummy!"

Melanin skin? What?? Listen I would love to read a book with a black protagonist and even a Black Pack… but this is not it. Race can’t change in the middle of the story.
