Aurelia’s POVThe Delta guards lifted Rune from the ground and rushed him into the mansion. Luckily for him, there was a small room which was used as a treatment room. I was going to heal him there. I turned to Asher who was crying with his hands on his face and rushed over to him. “What happened, Asher?” I asked, holding his shoulders. He was sobbing, wiping his cheeks making it hard for him to speak. By the time he found his voice, it would be too late for Rune. I have to move now. “Well two about this later,” I said, letting go of him, but then he grabbed my hand, turning me to face him. I was surprised by this. His tears had stopped and his face had hardened. “It’s all my fault,” Asher said, his voice still plagued with tears. I furrowed my brows trying to understand what he meant. “What happened, Asher?” I asked. “You can tell me.”Since there'd been tension between the two of them, I’d told Rune to spend some time with Asher to reconcile the bond that seemed to be fading.
