LOGIN“Mate?” Olivia. An omega. Pack’s runt. Pushed and taunted. A small white wolf. Olivia had a mate, one she was so excited to meet, she was 18. Her mate, an alpha, rejected her, abused her for years. She had finally found an out, she finally escaped. Running from her past, she stumbled on rogues that were about to kill her, she accepted that she was going to die, until an alpha saved her. The unknown alpha turned out to be her second chance mate. Olivia wasn't ready for a mate, especially not an alpha mate. She didn't want him. Alphas always hurt omega, this one isn't any different. There was one problem. The mate bond. Olivia couldn't deny it much longer. Would she be able to fight it? Would she give in to it? Would she reject the alpha?

Running. I just kept running; I couldn't stop, not now, not ever. My white fur was padding the wet floor with a speed I didn't recognize. I was very tired, running out of breath, but I couldn't stop. “You can rest for a bit, Olivia." "My wolf," Liana said in my head. I could hear the fear in her voice. She was equally as scared as I was. As for my wolf side, she is my companion, my best friend; she always thought she had to be strong for both of us. As an omega, we were classified as the weakest in the pack, runts; we were useless to the pack. During wars, we were sent to hide. I sighed and replied to Liana, "What if they catch up to us?” Liana whimpered and retreated into my mind. I wish I could go into someone's mind and just hide. My body felt weak as I kept pushing myself to run. Looking ahead, I saw a river. I almost cried out of relief. I pushed myself faster to the small pond. Getting to the pond, I could see my reflection. I looked so scrawny; my white fur was pretty much brown already. I closed my eyes and lapped at the water. After drinking water to my fill, I decided to take Liana's advice to rest. I lay on my side, closed my eyes, and slept against my will. Before long,I saw myself back there. On the cold tiles of the cell I was in, I was chained in wolf bane. Silver bane is the worst thing to happen to a wolf; I couldn't shift, and my wolf couldn't heal my wounds. I just lay there, shivering. I smelt his scent before I saw him, a scent that was heaven to me now felt very horrible; the door of the cell creaked open as he announced his presence with his brown boots. I whimpered and curled into myself further. He scoffed, “You're weak; this is why I rejected you. You're useless!" He sneered as his boots slammed against my side. Groaning, I clutched my rib as tears ran down my face; the previous bruise there wasn't even healed. "Please," I whispered. “Oh baby, you'll be begging me more than this soon." My heart stopped because I knew what was coming; the tears wouldn't stop. "Please, don't..." I managed to get out; he ignored me. I figured talking won't help; I didn't have the strength. When it was over, he stepped away. I lay there, with tears in my eyes, legs trembling. Gasping, I woke up with fear, my heart beating fast. I needed to continue running; I couldn't let him catch up to me. I felt a bit better, as my joints felt relaxed; I was sure I had been running for 5 hours with no destination. My mind went to the reason I'm here. James. Alpha James. The alpha of the Blue Moon pack. My ex-mate. When I turned 18, I was excited to find my mate. I knew he was in the same pack I was; I could feel it. The day I found out James was my mate, I was ecstatic; James wasn't. He didn't like the idea of being mated to a weak omega. His eyes regarded me with distaste as I remembered the exact words he said when he rejected me: “I, James, alpha of Blue Moon pack, reject you as my mate and Luna." I remember falling to the floor as the pain held me in a chokehold. He didn't look like he was in any pain; if he was, he masked it well. As if rejecting me wasn't enough, he ordered his beta to seize me and take me to the dungeon in the pack house. He hated me so much. I was always beaten by him or his beta or both. He also forced himself on him as frequently as he could; he wouldn't let me go. My wolf was dying from all the wolfbane. Last night, I finally found a way to escape after months of planning; I had been running since then. I knew he was looking for me. If he finds me, he'll kill me. Pulling myself out of my thoughts, I slowed down as I realized I was in a forest; it was dark; it looked like midnight. I jumped when I heard a stick break. Looking around, I didn't see anything. "Run," Liana said. I didn't need to be told twice; I ran. I heard a growl, no, growls. I didn't look back; I just ran. They were catching up to me; I could feel it. They smelt like rogues; they probably smelt that I was Omega. One of them jumped and landed on my back. I let out a shriek as I was pinned to the floor by the wolf with red eyes. I looked around and saw 4 others; they looked crazy and hungry. I whispered as they stalked closer to me with slow, precise steps. I couldn't fight them off; they knew that. Realizing that this was going to be the way I died, I closed my eyes. "I love you, Liana; I'm sorry I couldn't protect us," I whispered to her. “It's not your fault; I didn't protect us. I'm so sorry!" I didn't reply to her; there was no need to. The wolf that had me pinned snarled, raised his paw, and let it hit my face, his fangs scratching my fur. The other rogue wolves stalked closer, and they all preyed on me together. I closed my eyes again, expecting the strike. I felt fangs scratch my stomach; I was drifting already; I was so tired. As my eyes closed for good, I saw a black wolf with fur that shone. His power radiated even from afar; he stood taller than the other two he was standing with. “Please, save me," I thought, as my eyes finally gave up and I drifted off.OLIVIA’S POV: The ride was short. We got to the place in about 30 minutes. We stood in front of a tall building, Lucian led me to the elevator and pressed the top floor button. When we got there, I gasped. It was on the rooftop. I could see a lot from up here. It was set so beautifully, with just two chairs facing each other, a candelabra was in the middle of the table. The setting was so beautiful. I was in awe.“Do you like it?” Lucian asked.“I love it, Lucian. It’s beautiful” I gaped. He grinned, “I’m glad you like it” He led me forward, placing his hand on my lower back. He pulled out a chair for me and gestured for me to sit down, before he sat down.“What would you like to order?” I looked at the menu and understood only three things, Fish, scallop and chocolate. The rest seemed like gibberish. I guess I had looked at the menu for too long. Lucian chuckled. My face burned.“Do you want me to order for you?” I nodded shyly. He waved his hand, and a waiter immediately came.
OLIVIA’S POV: I felt like bad luck. Things kept happening and happening since i arrived at Lucian’s pack. I was attacked by rogues, kidnapped, now i have lukemia? I didn’t know how to feel about that. After Lucian left, i just stared into space. I hadn’t processed my thoughts. Liana wasn’t within reach, I don’t know why. I was alone. Until the door slammed open and a panting 6’4fts alpha came in and said “Let’s go on a date”. “What?” I replied, dumbfounded. “I want us to go on a date tonight,” he said again. A date? All of a sudden? After finding out i had blood cancer? He took my silence for hesitation, “I know it’s impromptu but please say yes” “Uh, yeah, sure” I gave him an answer, still uncertain and confused about the whole thing. He smiled. My heart skipped a bit. “Okay, good. We’re going home now. I’ll leave you to prepare and we’ll leave by 7pm”. I didn’t say anything. I didn’t need to. He offered me a hand to help me up, i took it, he had a firm grip on my hand
LUCIAN’S POV: My heart was racing as Olivia laid on the pack’s clinic bed. I was distraught. Lena (The pack doctor) hasn’t told me anything. I was so confused. Why was she coughing out blood? What could possibly be wrong with her? I looked over to her, her face looked pale. Her lips were dry. I couldn’t bear to see my mate in this condition. It made my chest ache. I weaved my hands through hers, let my head rest on the bed and left it there. Then there was twitch, I thought I was hallucinating, till I felt it again. I immediately raised my head up. I felt the twitch again, then she opened her eyes. “Lucian?” She asked gently, her eyes went to our interlock hands, I immediately snatched my hands away. She shook her head. “Hold me, please,” She said. Her voice shaky. I hesitantly held her hand. She tightened it. My
LUCIAN’S POV:From the kitchen, I could smell it. Her scent. It was so strong now. “Heat. Mate is in heat” Max said. His tongue out. An Alpha’s mate being in heat meant mating, I could understand why he was excited, but Olivia and I weren't at that stage yet. I needed to stay away from her. When I finished cooking, I went to my office. I needed something to keep myself busy. I couldn’t stay still. Then I heard it. The moan. Olivia’s moan. She was touching herself. I didn’t even have the time to stop myself as Max pushed me to go to her room. I knocked, no reply. Taking a deep breath, I opened the door. I gasped at the sight before me. Olivia was naked, sweating, fingers in her slick hole. Her scent invaded my senses. I couldn’t think. I entered her room fully. Locked the door. She didn’t move. She had some kind of confidence now, I knew it was because of the heat. I stood by the door. Our eyes locked, filled with heat. She dipped fingers back. As if calling me. My member twitched,
Olivia's Pov:Moon goddess, please help me. I thought as I could see my life flashing before my eyes. I rolled down the stairs, I was going to definitely die. The stairs were so many, I closed my eyes in fear, squeezing them so hard, I brace myself for the bone breaking that'll happen when I get to
Lucian's POV:“This is your fault, you scared mate away”. Max said, accusingly."I didn't know! I just wanted to help” I shouted in my head as I remembered how my mate looked so scared of me. The fear in her eyes haunted me. I didn't know why she was so scared, I didn't want to hurt her. Max rest
Olivia's POV:Lights. It was too bright. It made me feel woozy, I lifted my hand to touch my head, I noticed a drip, looking around the memory came rushing in. I remembered that a strange man said he was my mate, Liana confirmed it too; I was sure there was some sort of mistake somewhere, I needed
Lucian's POV: Mate? I looked at the wolf again, touching her felt electrical, I felt sparks. But how was this possible? Second chance mates were close to non-existent. I felt max in my mind again, “Max?" I tried again. I wasn't expecting a reply, “learn to put some fate in me kid" I heard him grun
