Chapter 2 The Beta's daughter?

Why did he have to ask my name?

Raven's POV

Turning my head slowly I was faced with Alpha Axel again today, he was dripping wet, his chisled chest had water droplets cascading down his perfect God like body, my eyes trailing down to his breathtaking V line that disappeared into a low riding towel that was loosely wrapped around his waist.

He cleared his throat making me jump up, snapping me back to reality when my eyes caught a glimpse of his before I instantly pulled back, lowering my head in shame at him noticing me checking him out.

"I apologize Alpha, I didn't know you were in here. I called out but received no answer so I began cleaning.

I will leave then return when you are no longer here. Please forgive my disruption of your personal space."

I was terrified to move from my spot as he was basically blocking me from moving as I was pressed against his bed with him towering over me.

"You can finish while I'm in here."

He said curtly before he turned then walked into his closet disappearing from sight. Breathing heavily I continued my chores, once I had finished the bedroom he came from his closet before walking to a chair set off to the side where he sat down.

"Sorry, Alpha, may I clean your bathroom now?"

He signaled with his hand for me to go on without even giving me a second look so I turned then headed into the bathroom as I began scrubbing the room down, cleaning out everything along with his garbage before placing new clean towels inside then as I went to walk out he stood in the doorway, his eyes watching me making me shift from one foot to the other nervously as my heart rate was spiking through the roof making my body feel flushed.

"What's your name girl?"

"My name? I have no name Alpha. Just Omega."

"Before you lost your name, what was it?"

His tone was raspy and deeper than before making me jump as I looked up at him, his eyes were dark, so dark you'd swear he was a demon not a wolf.

"Raven, sir."

I looked back down at the ground wishing it would open up to swallow me whole when I heard him snarl lightly before closing the distance between us making my breath hitch as I stood there feeling as if I could collapse to the ground when I felt his aura wrap around me.

"Raven, as in Raven Michaelson?"

My body went rigid under his aura, my knees slamming into the tiles on the floor of the bathroom making me whimper from the impact when suddenly the force behind it was gone.

Tears ran down my cheeks as I tried to catch my breath when he knelt down in front of me, he gripped my chin, not tight enough for it to hurt but with enough force to make me look up at him.

Something in his eyes made me feel sad, a dull spark ran through me at his touch when he looked at me making me gasp when our eyes locked.

"You are the Beta's daughter, former Beta?"

I nodded slightly as his grip tightened but I held in the whimper this time as I averted my gaze down to his feet that sat there on the floor with him squating in front of me.

"You are finished cleaning, yes?"

"Yes Alpha, unless you need for anything else."

"No, leave here Raven."

He released his grip on me before standing up then turning heel as he left the room entirely, leaving me sitting on the floor completely shook from the encounter.

I shakily pulled myself back up to my feet before grabbing my things along with the dirty linens, then left the room to go down to start the loads of laundry.

My stomach growled deeply but I forced my mind off of that as I thought about the events of the day thus far. After about an hour longer I finished up the laundry then folded up everything before going back up to the Alphas quarters to put everything neatly away for doing the same thing over again the next day.

When I finally finished up with everything I went back down to the first floor to clean up the community bathroom again, this time it didn't take as long because it's a quick cleanup since I do the deep clean before anyone wakes in the morning.

After I finished up all my regular chores I began the added ones I had during the weekends when I wasn't at school.

Going into the kitchens I began cleaning up after everyone, the smell of food was overwhelming me as it made my mouth water, my stomach cramp up, but I said nothing as I continued about my chores quietly and out of anyone's way as to not draw any unwanted attention my way.

After the dinner was served to everyone, I began cleaning up after the dishes were brought back in from everyone that ate within the dining room this evening.

The head Omega walked over in my direction, I casted my head down as I continued cleaning when she spoke to me.

"You, girl, have you eaten yet today?"

I shook my head as I continued cleaning up when she tapped my shoulder, something no one has ever done to me for years. I honestly don't remember much of physical contact that isn't me be shoved down or off into a locker, well besides Alpha Axel gripping my chin earlier.

"Sorry, I will have these done as fast as I can."

"You need to eat something, here."

I glanced upwards to see her holding a plate of food out to me, a stern expression on her face as if she was unhappy about having to give this to me.

"Ma'am?"

She thrusted the plate into my hands angrily.

"Go sit and eat, now! Then you can come back to finish cleaning up before heading to your sleeping quarters."

Still reeling in confusion I walked to the corner before sliding down onto the floor against the wall, attempting to be out of everyone else's way as I ate my plate of food.

This was the biggest meal I had, had in years. I was shocked at the amount but I ate every last bite, savoring it because who knows when the next time I will be able to eat so well again.

Once finished I headed back over to finished washing all the dishes before wiping down the counters then sweeping before moping up the floors.

By the time I was done with everything it was dark outside again, just like when I came here this morning. Looking at the time it was already ten at night, making sure I had everything done and put away I opened the door that led outside before starting my walk back to my little corner, hopefully I can shower this evening, so long as no one else is in there, otherwise I need to try to get some sleep then wake up around three so I can shower before running to clean the bathrooms again before school started.

Getting back to the house I slowly crept inside, voices filled the air letting me know that a shower wasn't in my cards for the evening, again, so I went down to the basement, grabbing my blankets I pushed them into the dryer before turning it on for about ten minutes. While they were in there warming up I got my uniform off, throwing it in the washer along with a few other items of mine while I pulled on some old sweat pants and a shirt then brushed out my hair and teeth.

Grabbing my blankets out I built up my little den while waiting for the quick cycle to finish up so I could throw my clothes into the dryer so I'd have a clean uniform for tomorrow along with my pair of jeans and a shirt with my bra to wear to school.

I don't own much but it's enough I guess. I could definitely use new undergarments but I'm just happy to have any at all so I don't complain.

After all was said and done I curled up into the left over warmth of my blankets before drifting off to sleep for the night.

I was plagued with nightmares of my mother, watching her waste herself away with nothing for me to do to change what had happened to her no matter how hard I had tried.

Then a nightmare about my father, watching him fight to the death against our Alpha, full of wolfsbane so he had no wolf to help him fight, his strength diminished, no healing powers because of his wolf being forced away from him.

I woke a few times but drifted back off pretty quickly every time. Then I had a dream about Alpha Axel, how he was my mate, he showered me with love and affection until he stood in front of me with his father standing behind him as he rejected me causing me more excruciating pain than I had ever felt before.

I watched as my knees dropped to the ground outside as I shifted while howling up at the moon before his father banished me from the pack forcing me to become a rogue.

I woke up panting heavily with a thin layer of sweat covering my body. Looking at the time it was only 12:30am how I had managed to have all those nightmares already left me speechless.

I laid myself back down, willing away the thoughts clouding my mind as I finally drifted off into a dream less sleep.

Waking up a few hours later I forced my body to get up so I could sneak upstairs to shower. The thought of the hot water seeping into me was motivation enough to get my ass up those stairs.

Reaching the bathroom, the whole house was eerily quiet, pushing the door open I walked in going all the way in the back of the room to the very last shower stall before turning the water on.

Stepping underneath the hot steamy water I felt invigorated as the heat went straight through me, warming me from the outside in. It felt amazing, something so simple as a hot shower was what I looked forward to no matter the time of day I cam take it.

Reluctantly I got out before getting dried off then dressed. Looking at the time it was only three thirty but since I was already ready I headed out to start my chores earlier that usual in hopes of having a little time to myself before school today.
