“Alice Hales can’t produce heirs.5 years in marriage,still no heir for the Darkthorn twins. Makes sense now” Linda said.reading an article she found online about the Darkthorn family.

My hands shook,my blood boiled.so all this time,this was just about Alice? I thought they were here for us. Because they wanted me. They just want to give their Luna heirs.

“They want to make her the mother of my children?”I scoffed. Those bastards.i should have known something was off otherwise they wouldn’t have bothered to look for me.

“But why do they want me to sign away my rights to dating anyone?”I asked.I’m completely confused now.if they wanted the kids back at Darkthorn pack without me in the picture,they could have just taken them and I’d be fine as their nanny as long as I’m with them. But why don’t they want me to date anyone?

Linda looked at me like she was reading an open book.she pushed her glasses up a little,dropped her pen. Clasped her fingers.”well child. I don’t know what is going on here but…. Here’s what I think. If the wife of the Darkthorns can’t have her own children and they need you specifically just as the twins nanny.

They probably need you for surrogacy.”

The room went colder than it was before.

“What?”I whispered.Linda cleared her throat.

“They want you available since you’re the only one who has ever carried Darkthorn bloodline.they want to keep you on shelf.”

I was so shocked. So Upset.who do they think they are to decide for me?”fuck this.first they wanted to kill me now they want me to raise my children with a rope around my throat?they want me to give birth to more babies I won’t ever be able to call mine? This is insane. I can’t take this.”I promised myself five years ago that I’d never shed a tear because of them but I wasn’t able to stop the tears running down my face.This hurt so much. The bell above the cafe door chimed.i didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. I could smell them.

Damon’s boot stopped In front of me and my lawyer.” Human. Leave us.”he ordered.I scoffed.

“This isn’t Darkthorn pack territory. You can’t Oder my guests to leave.”I snapped but he didn’t look bothered by my outburst.

“It’s okay Rose.just give me a call if you need anything.” Linda said patting my shoulder before she left.

“Time’s up. Did you sign?”Damon asked emotionless.

“When will you two stop playing these games with me? What did I ever do to you to deserve all this?”I was breaking down slowly but neither of them would catch me.

“Well dear brother,I told you never underestimate a human.she’s smart. She must have explained everything to her.”Damon said to his brother,giving me that smirk that’s been hunting me for five years.

“You want me to be a surrogacy for Alice.you want me to give my kids to her?you want me to not engage with any man or I lose them for good.why are you so heartless and selfish?”I asked quietly.my energy drained from all this.

“Jennie we know what we are doing.stop asking so many questions.”

“But I have the rights to ask questions. You can’t take that away from me either.”

Darian growled.he came closer and I almost forgot how to breath again.”Did you sign or should we take them and you’ll never see them again?”

“You should have just let elder Richard execute me five years ago. At least then,I wouldn’t have to watch you give another woman my children.”I said sniffing. I wiped the tears on my face.with no other choice. I signed the contract.

I stood to my feet.” Tell Alice she can have the title but if she ever dares to hurt them. I’ll kill her myself.”

Damon smirked.” No one will ever hurt them.”he picked the papers. Carefully folded them and put them in his jacket.” Now let’s take you home.”

But It felt like a prison to me.

We packed everything we needed.the twins didn’t actually allow me to take much. Everything we needed was already at the Darkthorn mansion. So I was told.
