CHAPTER 1

Chapter 1

"You broke the rules, Aria." A cold voice called out to the young woman walking into the hall. Aria shivered unconsciously as she heard that voice, she had prepared herself for this but it seemed no matter how long she prepared, it was all in vain.

"Aria, do not keep me quiet when I am speaking to you. You broke the rules once again, this time not just any rule but the forbidden rule." The cold voice rang out once again, silver hair flaunting with the wind in haste.

Aria raised her head, her eyes moving all around rapidly. She could feel the pressure coming down on her at that moment, she stared at the woman to who the cold voice belonged. She gulped down her saliva before she opened her mouth to speak, "Mom, I did not mean to. It just happened, it wasn't intended." Aria breathes out.

The woman frowned hearing her daughter's words, she stood up from her throne and climbed down the stairs with slow steps. Her silver hair fluttered behind her, the transparent crown on her head making it look like the moon was dancing. Her smoldering silver eyes glared at her young, naive, and clueless daughter.

"I am sorry Mother, you always said to be kind to others. I decided to do as you said, I did not expect things to turn this way, Mom. Please forgive me, I beg for your forgiveness my queen." Axel cried out falling on her knees on the ground, tears peeking out from the corner of her eyes. She knew she was in the wrong but she felt no regrets.

"Do you know what you did wrong? As the princess andsoon-to-bee crowned queen of the werewolves, thenext-in-linee moon goddess you stomped so low to the levels of Humans. You mingled among them when I told you not to, you disobeyed my words. Aria, you disappoint me." The moon goddess spoke in a smoldering tone, her tone was enough to let Aria know her mother was extremely furious at that moment.

"Mom… please forgive me… just this once, I won't do so ever again. Give me a last chance please." Aria cried her silver hair which was turning black at the ends rubbed on the ground, as she pleaded for forgiveness. The guards in the palace and the maids nearby felt pity for her.

"Why should I forgive you? My daughter disobeyed my rules, what do you want the people who worship me to think of me? If I spare you then everyone will look down on me, they will disobey my words too. Why are you so unruly? Who did you inherit this trait from?" The moon goddess barked out in anger, a long staff appeared on her hand as she spoke. She tapped it on the ground and a small lump of ice formed on the ground.

"Mom, I did nothing wrong. I only fell in love with a human, what is the big deal about not loving humans? You are a God over them, I am too. I love them and you do too, what is so wrong with that Mom? You always do this!!!" Arial yelled already fed up with her mother's words, she was furious and upset!!!

"What is so wrong with what you have done? You want to know?!!!" The moon goddess yelled, she shook from the anger she was feeling in her heart. 

"Yes! Yes, Mom, I want to know, what is so bloody wrong here? Don't you love Dad? You do right? You also love humans, so why can't I love them too? I want to love and take care of them too!" Axel responded keeping her voice a tone lower than before.

"I love humans, yes I do I love them but I do not share a carnal relationship with them. A god is not supposed to love a human, you don't fall in love with a human, and that too a make human!!!" The moon goddess yelled tapping her staff on the ground.

"You did not only live him against the rules of the heavens, but you also spent a night with him. You gave your body to a human and you gave up your pearl to save him too!!! You fell from being a god to a mere servant, you disappointed me, Aria…." The moon goddess trailed off turning away from her daughter in other to hide the little tears parking in her eyes.

"I love him, Mom, he loves me too. He takes care of me, he treats me like a princess. He brings out the best in me, keeps me company, and doesn't make me lonely as I feel here!!! He is better than any other god here, he is much kinder and has a heart of Gold." Aria replied to her mother, her lips curling up into a smile as she spoke about the man she loved.

"It doesn't matter if you love him, Aria he doesn't love you. He was just using you can't you see that? He is a liar and a cheap man!!" The moon goddess cried out, turning back to her daughter. "Even still, after finding out his motives. Do you still love him? Tell me!!" She questioned.

Tears poured out of Aria's eyes at her mother's words, yes she found out the man she loved was a liar and betrayed her. He was just using her to achieve his goals, but still, she couldn't stop herself from loving him. She loved him too much, to hate him….

"You have to be punished as the law of heaven states, I won't go easy on you because you are my daughter." The moon goddess whispered weakly, she felt sad treating her daughter that way but she had no choice but to follow the rules.

"As the law of heaven states, I curse you. I curse you to be reborn into a human, you shall go through the 7 trails of human life. You will never be able to get love from anyone, even if you do… then you will die!! Until you find the path of redemption!!" 

"As for your lover, his heart will be taken away from him. It will be replaced by a chunk of ice, he will suffer and be lonely till Eternity!!"
