Escape

"You heard me right." Jared laughed, spurting out blood in the process. He looked like a mess. His eyes were swollen shut and could barely open.

His nose was broken and blood was trickling down his cheek. His swollen lips were torn open, yet he managed to laugh despite the pain he was in.

"You were so stupid to have left your mother behind. What did you think would happen to her? A traitor runs away but leaves his mother behind. What did you expect? Did you think that I would let her live while you escaped? Did you think — "

"Where is my mother?" Aiden's voice was thick with fury.

"Where else?" Jared laughed. "Get off me and I'll take you to your mother."

"Don't fuck with me. I'll mess you up." Aiden grabbed him by the collar and shook him violently. "Where is my mother, you fool?" He yelled.
