“The King is dead?” Jonathan asked, both surprised and happy. “Then who is ruling Pintraid. It cannot be his daughter, she is too young.”
“She is the one ruling Pintraid. She made herself look older. Such a wicked person,” Alex said keeping his head bowed.
He was obviously ashamed but not afraid to say it.
“Did you know Alex is the Queen’s son?!”
Everyone that didn’t know gasped in awe. They were with an enemy but that didn’t make any sense to them.
The murmuring and whispering began. Tiana held her blade tighter pointing the sharp part at Alex.
Angela turned to Miles harshly. He did not have to say that. They were already having problems of their own and he made it worse.
“I know. He has a good heart though. If not for the brainwashing effect affecting him, he will be the nicest person in the world.”
Alex shook his
She tried her best to keep cool but her best wasn’t enough? No one could survive what she was going through. She felt as if she was on fire. She had been this way since she heard Cedric was on his way with good news. Her heart had been aching and she was hoping for the best. So many thoughts ran through her mind. Her heart’s beating rate had tripled. She could feel droplets of salty sweat, trickling down her skin. She was sweating, though two women were fanning her on each side. Her body itched as the sweat touched her skin. She hated the itch but she couldn’t help it.Her whole body had a mind of its own.She closed her eyes hoping to receive coolness from anywhere to relax her nerves.“Get me a cup of chilled orange juice quickly.”The maid flashed out of the room in the blink of an eye.Octavia needed that orange juice fast or she was afraid she would fa
Miles couldn’t hold it anymore. He completely lost control. His face and whole body were red. He clenched his fists so tight, his knuckles were the only white parts of his body.He growled, moving to Alex’s side in a jiffy. He grabbed Alex’s collar, pinning him up to the wall.“Miles, what are you doing?!”Alex fought back and pushed Miles. Miles angrily growled and charged at him. They ended up on the floor, fighting, blowing, kicking, slapping, biting but most importantly, beating each other up.“Miles! Alex stop!”Justin didn’t want to do this but they didn’t give him a choice. He came between them, using all his power to draw them away from each other.“What are your problems? Are you insane?!”Miles stepped back from them using his dirty bloody hand to rub his head in anger, roughening his perfectly made hair.Alex
They continued to walk on as they were taken to another world.Angela hated being out of hand's reach when it came to Miles. It was clear he was avoiding her and she hated it.Though she was happy Alex was near her, giving her all the attention she needed but she wanted Miles back. Life without him wouldn’t be a life at all.Watching Miles walk sadly like another member of the team made her heart cry out for him. She wasn’t thinking about Alex but Miles. She wanted him back badly. She was having a headache when he was not by her side.So her mother was right after all, absence makes the heart grow fonder. She was incomplete. If she lost Miles, she had nothing to live for.She could lose Prestoria, lose her best friends, lose the whole world, she could even lose Alex but survive, but if she lost Miles. Her little world would crumble and she would never recover it.She didn’t pray fo
Everything would be worth it when she would be able to crush every living thing staying there. Angela would regret wanting to save Prestoria. Now she had all the instructions and knew exactly what to do. No one could stop her. If there was an earthquake she would go on, if there was turbulence, she would keep on moving, therefore if there was a tornado nearby, that won’t stop her.Let a storm appear, it would not discourage her, even if the end of the world was near, she would keep on moving. She would not let the world destroy Prestoria. She wanted to destroy it herself.“I am sorry for this inconvenience, My Lady.”Another bump stopped her from replying but she got her voice back.“Do not worry Cedric. I just want this ride to be over.”“Yes, your highness. We will be there in the next minute.”A whole minute! Octavia wasn’t sure if she would survive that. Thoug
She snapped back to reality.“W-we should head back,” she said with a big smile on her face. She tried to bring her smile down but it didn’t agree to come down.Miles was achieved. He could not stop the happy feeling that had taken over him but he had to take it easy. He did not want the others to know they had gotten back together. He wasn’t sure if they were together again. Wait, were they ever together? They were glad to have each other back. He thanked God he did not lose his mind before they got back. His heart was no more hardened but it became free.He took a happy sigh.“Yeah, w-we sh-should,” he stammered, helping Angela up.He removed a stray leaf from her beautiful hair, replacing it with a flower.“Thanks.” Her cheeks puffed up with pink again. Why couldn’t her body cool down for a second? Miles made
Angela covered her eyes from the light. Even with all going on, she was filled with joy. The time was no more near but now here. The shaking ground, screeching noise, and light stopped. Everything was gone. Angela was afraid to open her eyes. She was scared of opening her eyes.Happiness filled her but she was afraid. She did not know why but she was always scared to open her eyes. Even if she wanted to open her eyes, they would not open. She felt two fingers on each of her eyes. Her eyes opened to see a smiley Miles beside her. Seeing Miles was not a big surprise to her but seeing Prestoria was the biggest surprise. The fog had disappeared. Angela’s eyes widened as Miles held her. Prestoria was lifeless. There was nothing in it. Everything was in a sad brown color. They couldn’t take their eyes off the scene. They had just seen a small part of Prestoria but Prestoria was dull and had no sign of life.
Angela couldn’t hold her tears. She cried happily on Miles’ shoulder as they walked to their destination—the castle. Memory flashes attacked her. Darkness…burning, wailing, loud baby cries, screaming…so many of those thoughts attacked her in multitudes. A man with a wand, wildly dressed carried a loud crying baby. That is me. He ran out of the place at full speed and…she did not want to think about all those things anymore. This was a happy moment for her. She wouldn't let the past ruin it. The dead Prestorians that had woken up were in shock to see tattered teenagers, walking into Prestoria with tears of joy. They had no idea they had been asleep for fifteen years. They were wondering how it got to the morning not knowing there was a bigger question than that. They did not know what to do until a little white girl with long brown hair started following them. One by one people joined the girl as they
The King and Queen laughed loudly at the dry joke. It had been long since either of them laughed so loudly. It freed their spirit, body, and mind from any traces of the chains of death still holding them.“It is nice to meet you your majesties. I am Kale and-and-and I-I-I…”“It is okay Kale.” The Queen bent down and pecked the jumpy Kale’s head. She blushed happily and hugged the Queen like the happy little girl she was.The King and Queen liked her spirit. If only they knew how she was.“And that is Alex. He joined us a few days ago but he has been a great help to us.”Alex found the power to forge a smile but Justin knew something was very fishy about the smile. The castle he was in was nothing like his mother’s own. His mother’s castle was pretty but dry, sad, and empty. Here—even though they had only been inside for a while—was f
