CHAPTER FIFTY

“I can get up by myself. Thank you very much. In our world we are very gentle and we do not scream.” He huffed, going back into the kitchen.

Kale didn’t care. She sat on a chair and rubbed her hands in preparation for a delicious meal.

The others did so and sat on the chairs, looking at their covered plates. There was water beside them and a folded napkin placed at the top of each glass cup. The setting was different from the normal one she knew. 

There was a neatly ironed table cloth on the table. The plates, cups, and food were placed on the table cloth, not directly on the table.  

There was a vase of lilies placed in the middle of the table. The nice smell of them filled the air. Everything about the table setting was different but yet nice. 

Josh walked back to the dining room and cleaned up the broken plates. When he was finished, he joined them on the table.
