Chapter 10

I contemplated turning the other way just to avoid Jade but his eyes then connected with mine and I had no choice but to play it cool and continue walking his way.

There was a small staircase that was about five stairs that led deeper into the building of the school. It was on one of the stairs where he was sitting, with his black backpack next to him.

He had a tight frown on his face and maintained eye contact with me as I neared him. Today he was wearing dirty converse and had on skinny jeans that showed off how toned his muscles were.

The shirt he was wearing fitted him neatly, also showing how defined his upper body was. He was a sight to behold and I could stare at him all day without getting bored. Literally.

“Hi,” I said softly as I sat next to him when I reached him.

He scoffed lightly and peeled his attention off me as he played with one of the straps on his bag. “What do you want? To hit me again and tell me that it’s my fault?” He spat the words, and my face reddened.
