She didn’t expect it as well when she realized that Helena’s past self might be good at horseback riding and she doesn’t know that.

“I couldn’t remember a thing. It probably added to why I don’t know how to ride the horse anymore,” she reasoned, which Ingrid bought immediately.

Because of course, a part of Ingrid knows that it could also happen. She had no idea that there was already occupying her sister’s body, and it would be her greatest nightmare.

Helena toured her around since Ingrid was insisting on seeing the entire mansion. She always wanted to unravel the wealth of the Montvilles since then, but they were hard to reach, knowing that they were just too low-key and you could not easily access them.

And now that her sister has given her the privilege she wanted, the thirst to just take everything away is too strong. She wanted to own the title, to have it, and little by little, she would replace Helena’s position in Louis’ life, and she would make sure that she would get it.

Helena, who seems too observant of Ingrid, could already sense her hidden agenda just by watching her look at the places like she could not wait to own it.

“Have you two tried to, you know, spice things up? To sleep with each other?” she asked when Helena brought her into her room since she wanted to see what was inside.

Helena shook her head. “We haven’t done anything yet since he is busy.”

Ingrid chuckled a little. “He is an alpha. They have an intense urge, Helena. There is no such thing as busy. They would crave for sexual things.”

Helena somehow hasn’t thought of it since she doesn’t consider any romantic feelings for Louis. And knowing what kind of man Louis is—heartless and unbothered—she could sense that he would not sleep with her that easily.

Why Helena? Are you game as well? Would he consider it? Are you willing to surrender yourself?

It was the question that lingered in her mind, which she cannot answer because she doesn’t know as well. She is just too focused on molding herself for the future plans she is about to expose once she gathered all of the evidence and the right timing that she forgot she is also dealing with a powerful alpha at the moment.

“If he doesn’t consider you into sexual things, maybe he is planning to do it with someone else,” Ingrid stated, which Helena found uncomfortable because it reminded her of Darren’s dirty cheating issue with her.

“Then, whoever that woman is, I think she is disgusting knowing that the man is already taken, and yet, she still wants to be sexual with him. They are both disgusting, so maybe those kinds of people are really deserving of each other,” she blurted out, expressing her past experience all of a sudden.

Ingrid wasn’t expecting Helena’s answer and she was a bit affected by it. Of course, she knows what she did, and reminding her about it is also another thing. She doesn’t want to expose it. She always wanted to keep her image so clean that she would do everything to keep it buried down so she could still walk with her head high.

And she felt the ick for her sister on why she was suddenly saying things like that.

“Of course… those kinds of people are disgusting, Helena. But in your case with Louis, you two were just arranged. If Louis would soon want to replace you, you can’t do anything about it; just accept it,” Ingrid said.

“Well yeah. Of course. I would also let him go since I didn’t like him from the start, to begin with. I am just doing this to help our family, Ingrid.”

She nodded. “Yes. And how about you? I think you like him. I could sense that you like him.”

Helena wanted to laugh because she felt like Ingrid was the superior type of sister who would use their bond to get what she wanted. And she cannot believe a sudden plan has popped out of her head.

“I don’t have to remember my memories, Ingrid. I could already sense it in you and the way you look at him. But you are also arranged with someone else too, and it’s not good for your image to just suddenly jump from one man to another.”

‘You bitch…’ Helena thought.

Those words are what Helena is screaming in her mind, and she cannot believe that she is really that leech to just stick her ass to another man despite getting Darren from her. She is now ready to jump to someone else because she found Louis more convenient and powerful.

She was roaring it into her mind, and she just wanted Ingrid to taste her own medicine.

“If you want, I could help you with your feelings for…Louis,” she offered innocently.

She had seen how Ingrid’s face lightened. It was like fate was already doing its thing for her to get what she wanted, but little did she know that it was a perfect set-up Helena had put on her feet for her own downfall.

“Really? You would do that for me? You would do that for your sister?” Ingrid held her hands and gripped them as she looked at her with her soft gaze.

Helena nodded. “Yes, Ingrid. Maybe in the long run, Louis would also develop feelings for you. I don’t like him. But in order to please our parents, I need to do this. And you, you need to endure this for a while as well. I know you don’t like that man who’s also bound to marry you… Or… do you?”

And for sure, Louis would realize how amazing you are as a woman. He would eventually like you, unlike me, who doesn’t even like him a bit.”

Ingrid’s lips curled for a smile that she pulled her for a hug out of happiness. “Oh, Helena! You are the best sister ever!” she said, but she was already smiling deviously, wanting to laugh for fooling her sister when she knew too well she was just using her.

And that’s what Ingrid thought. She mistakes her for a sheep when she is far from that. And Helena is just starting.

“Don’t worry, Ingrid. I will help you with Louis,” she promised and even showed her pinky finger, just like how Ingrid would also show her pinky finger to Alana, the best friend whom she betrayed.

She laughed a bit, looked at it for a while, and despite hesitating to do it knowing that it reminded her of Alana, she still did it thinking that it was her sister after all.

It was such a fresh start for Helena that she had slowly gotten Ingrid’s hopes high, and she would build it even more before crashing it into pieces and striking her just like what she did to her.

“Louis is downstairs, Miss Helena,” Anna reported, which made Ingrid’s eyes widen. She fixed her dress, and she even looked at herself in the mirror.

“You should change your dress. I have a lot of new dresses in my walk-in closet, which Louis has personally bought for me. You can try it,” Helena insisted.

“Oh! You know what? That’s a good idea, Helena! I should change!” she said excitedly as she pulled Helena to the walk-in closet.
