Helena felt lightened all throughout that day. She cannot believe that Louis taught her how to ride a horse, and that she got to experience a gentle bond with him without experiencing any rude behavior.

Although she knew that it wouldn’t be like that all the time, she was somehow happy and content with what she experienced.

Meanwhile, Ingrid, who’s still sulking about not being chosen as Louis’ mate, was trying to find a way so that she would be able to replace her sister’s spot. She wanted it so much that she would do everything just to get it.

Knowing that it wasn’t the first time she had done cunning things, she would always try her luck until it worked. And she is already formulating her plans little by little.

If our parents would not let me be Louis’ mate, then I put her back into a deep sleep. That’s the only way to replace her.

It’s what is lingering in her mind. And she knows that she could pull it off. Doing evil things has been so easy for her that she always knew she would get things she wanted and sit on her own throne just to have them.

But first, she needed to lure Louis to like her. It was her first plan. If it didn’t work, she would immediately do another one until she got the result she truly wanted.

Dressed in a very skimpy dress, her cleavage protruding, the slit on her dress showed her white legs, and her hair into a sleek ponytail to make the valley of her chest more visible, she decided to visit her sister with a basket of fruits for her.

She is trying to express how she deeply misses Helena, but deep inside, she is using her as her bridge to get what she wants. And Helena could see through her hidden agendas just by visiting her.

Damn this woman. I still could not forget how she made a fool out of me in front of our parents and acted like she was the most responsible daughter between us. I cannot believe Helena has that kind of side as if she was trying to taunt me with those actions of hers, and it is so infuriating that she made me believe she would agree to me.

How dare she! If she is now slowly rebelling against me, then I will show her why I am called the oldest, and I can easily put her in her place. If her memories would come back, for sure she would fear me instead.

She was smirking as all thoughts ran through her mind as soon as she was on her way. But before she could enter the big villa of Louis Montville, she was blocked by one of Louis’ men.

“I’m sorry, ma’am, but no one is expecting a visitor right now. There is no signal from us to let someone in,” the man said, which made Ingrid’s face sour.

“I am Helena’s sister. I am an Asher, and I am here to visit my sister!” She gritted her teeth.

“I’ll call on the mansion to confirm it to Miss Helena first, ma’am.”

It cuts to her ego that Helena’s words weighed more than hers, and her blood is starting to boil again. She wanted to murder her own sister out of rage while she could feel the intense anger she was feeling.

When the man nodded after calling Helena, who was also shocked that Ingrid was visiting her, she already knew that Ingrid was up to something again.

While Ingrid was on her way to the mansion, riding in their private car, she was shocked that Louis Montville owned not just a mansion but a whole villa as his own property, his own house.

It was like seeing how billionaires live their lives, and to see the wide land, the houses that weren’t the real mansion yet, made her jaw drop. Imagine a land that only contains your house with a guest house and some of the small houses that could still be considered a luxury house because it is still big.

When she saw the main mansion, she immediately knew that she needed to get Louis no matter what happened. It was like setting her goal straight, and she found all of the reasons why she needed to become his mate—his wife.

Helena, who went out of the big double doors wearing a long white dress cascading on the marble floor, looking like an angel, made Ingrid wish that she could just strangle her to death because she hated how Helena looked like she owned the place when she wasn’t.

“Oh, Helena! I missed you so much! I came here because I cannot stand not bonding with you!” She greeted her as soon as she got out of the car and gave her a hug.

There was a tug in her heart every time Ingrid would do something with Helena. Her body is subconsciously reacting that she didn’t let her hug her too long, and she just pushed her a bit and smiled a little.

Ingrid let go and glanced at the driver she was with, signaling it to give the fruits she brought that had a pink ribbon.

Helena smiled in her sister’s image and showed Ingrid that she also missed her. She invited her inside, but she noticed how Ingrid was desperately roaming her eyes around as if she were trying to find someone.

“Wow, I cannot believe he has a luxurious place,” she commented, and Helena could really smell that her real agenda was to see what kind of life Louis had.

Although his life was exposed because he came from the Montville family, out of them, he remained a mysterious and low-key vibe. Those who were invited to his own villa were only a few, and he rarely made friends with everyone. He chooses them carefully.

And Ingrid was so engrossed in thinking that if she would replace the spot of Helena, it would be the best life that she deserves that is perfect for her. She suddenly wants to get rid of Darren.

“How about your room? Do you share rooms with Louis?” Ingrid asked.

Helena shook her head. “Oh, I have my own room, actually.”

Ingrid’s face lightened, but she didn’t show it right away. But deep inside she was already screaming in so much joy that it could be a sign that he could still get Louis from her.

“Wow, that just showed that he picked you for the arrangement purposes. Nothing more. I fear that in no time he will get tired of you and choose someone else. He might probably see you as boring, Helena…” She chuckled a little, saying it in a joking way, but Helena knew it was also mocking.

But Helena only smiled. “Maybe in time, he would slowly adjust and he would be comfortable sharing rooms with me. Besides, during the dinner on the other days, when his friends asked him about marriage and kids, he answered them that if I liked it, he would give me one, which means he is considering it,” she said in an innocent way that made Ingrid’s smile vanish.

To know that Helena was invited by Louis to join him on a dinner together with his friends is like a slap to her. She felt so envious that if only she could now bury her sister alive, she would gladly do it.

It wasn’t what she was expecting. Knowing that Louis is well-known for treating women snobbishly, she expected that Louis might be no exception. But to hear from her sister that she is getting some of the privilege that she should be the one who’s experiencing is just infuriating to her.

“Really? Did he say that?” She tried to act cool about it, but deep inside, she was already screaming in anger.

“Yes. He said that. Maybe if it weren’t for his busy schedule, he would immediately consider it. But I could sense it was one of the reasons why he is not into it yet since he has priorities…”

Ingrid calmed down again when she felt like there was still time to get Louis from her sister because he was busy.

“He prioritized other things instead of bonding with you. Oh, it really showed that he cannot give you some of his time, Helena. This will be a torture to you. If only you listened to me and told our parents you didn’t want it, you wouldn’t be suffering like this. But you are such a hardheaded girl. In no time, you will feel drained on why Louis is just too heartless…” she faked a sad smile and put her hair at her back, flipping it.

Helena smiled. “Oh, he actually makes time for me. He taught me horseback riding for a week since something happened and I got into an accident, and he doesn’t want it to happen again. That’s why he taught me to avoid getting in danger. We are bonding sometimes.”

Ingrid made a fake surprise expression, but it was pissing her off. She was now imagining pulling her hair and hurting her physically, but she restrained herself, and Helena was just enjoying what she was doing; if she could only laugh at her, she would do it.

“You don’t know how to ride a horse? That’s quite weird since all our lives we are taught how to ride a horse, Helena,” Ingrid pointed out. “Have you forgotten it too?”
