“Take us to Jinyuan!”

Shen Linfeng astounded. “What? You..”

“Focus on the road!”

“…” Shen Linfeng was at a loss for words.

Shen Linfeng’s car halted at the entrance of Jinyuan after half an hour. Gu Mocheng got out of the car, and after that carried Jian Jianan in his arms. Jinyuan is a luxurious, exquisite condominium. It was also Gu Mocheng’s private residence.

The Gu family was big. Gu Mocheng bought a housing unit in Jinyuan when he was 22. Whenever he was on break, he would go back to his old house and spend his nights in Jinyuan.

Gu Mocheng liked serenity and freedom. The geographical location and the surrounding environment was superior. On top of that, it was suitable for Mengmeng as well.

As a close friend, Shen Linfeng had never been to Gu Mocheng’s private condo. It was not that he did not want to visit. Gu Mocheng did not allow him to, and Mengmeng did not want to see him!

He had not expected Gu Mocheng to bring Jian Jianan to his place today. He was pissed!

Thinking on this, Shen Linfeng rushed from the car and stood in front of Gu Mocheng.

“Third brother, are you sure you want to bring Jian Jianan home? Did you forget what she’s done? You wouldn’t be in all this trouble with your family if it weren’t for her… Could it be that you’re caring for Jian Jianan because of love?”

Gu Mocheng did not answer. His eyes darkened as he stared at Shen Linfeng. “Once and only once!” Gu Mocheng growled harshly.

“What?”

“I don’t want to see anyone troubling Jian Jianan in the future!”

Shen Linfeng watched Gu Mocheng enter the building and scratched his head in confusion. The threat in Gu Mocheng’s eyes gave him goosebumps. “Something is definitely strange here!”

Gu Mocheng placed Jian Jianan on his bed. He had probably brushed Jian Jianan’s wrist wound; she moaned painfully and pulled a frown on her face. He held up her wrist and, like a fool, blew twice on her wound like it would take the pain away!

Gu Mocheng furrowed his brow seeing blood seeping from her bandage. Swiftly, he bent his body down and removed the bandage.

The wound had ruptured, but fortunately there were no signs of infection.

Damn, this woman. She knows she is injured. She should take better care of herself!

Soldiers had basic first-aid skills. Gu Mocheng took out his first aid kit. Immediately, he applied antiseptic cream on Jian Jianan’s wound and bandaged up the wound again.

He recalled her injured leg and, carefully, removed her tiny, white shoes.

‘Hmph, at least she was not stupid enough to wear high heels!’

Peeling off her socks, he could see Jian Jianan’s exquisite, slender feet.

She had fair skin and a distinct structure to her legs. Her toes were fair and glossy like pearls and jades.

However, it would hurt anyone to see the swollen, bruised ankle on such an attractive pair of legs.

Gu Mocheng frowned and produced some huoluo oil. He applied some on Jian Jianan’s ankle and began to massage.

He was gentle at first. However, as Jian Jianan moaned from the pain, he exerted more force. Gu Mocheng stopped massaging only after he noticed his face was scrunched up.

Jian Jianan fell asleep again after that. Gu Mocheng gazed at Jian Jianan for a while, and stood up slowly.

When Jian Jianan awoke, her body was drenched in sweat.

She opened her eyes in shock when she noticed the unfamiliar environment she was in. At once, she sat upright in the bed.

Then, she saw Gu Mocheng, wearing a frown, right in front of her. She also noticed they were tightly holding each other’s hands.

Maybe it was because he was a soldier, but she could feel the thin layer of calluses on his palm. It made her feel safe.

She raised an eyebrow and lifted their tightly held hands. There was satisfaction, along with a teasing smile, on her pale face.

“Hey, don’t you have some explaining to do?”
