Ainsley’s POVAlpha Lucas leans against the desk drumming his fingers while he looks at his feet for an unnervingly long time. He takes a deep breath like he’s about to say something, then chooses not to. He looks at Mom apologetically, then nods at the Luna with a different type of apology. Ainsley’s POVA surge of power I’ve never felt before surges through my body. The full moon supercharged every aspect of Paragon’s strength. I feel my face contort as she partially shifts. Her anger heats my belly until it overtakes me. Paragon rips through the towels and hops up with lightning fast speed. She roars at the top of her lungs, making everyone else take a defensive stance. She swipes at the medical team, then charges at Mama Primrose. “GET BACK!”Mama Prim steps over Caleb until he’s hidden under her body, protecting her pup with a vicious snarl of her own. Before she can lower her head, Paragon grabs her by the neck and throws my wolf mother as if she weighs nothing. Mama Prim yips as she hits the ground and rolls away until she gets her footing.“Paragon, stop! It’s just Mom!
