work for me

"Welcome, CEO.." Gil's manager Roy, welcomed him extending his hands towards Gil.

Gil glanced at Roy's hand then gave a cold stare at Roy's face. Roy's heart pounded at his stare. So he hurriedly withdrew his hand back. He probably ignored the fact that his new CEO was not someone to be welcome with a handshake.

He cursed himself underneath his breath for forgetting the fact that his CEO doesn't allow anyone to get close to him? But one question was always stuck on his head that whether his CEO allows his wife to get close to him or not?

Without giving any response to his manager Gil strolled to his office. Roy followed him behind lowering his head and promising himself not to make any other mistake so that he would not end up like CEO's driver whose salary got lessened a while ago.

When Gil approached his office he stood still tucking his hands on his pocket, waiting for Roy to open the door for him. After waiting for a while when Roy didn't come forward to open the door, he swiveled his head towards his manager.

Roy was standing lowering his head and murmuring something to himself.

"Mr. Roy.." his voice was curt.

Roy jolted with fright and lifted his head to glanced at Gil, but he was not able to meet Gil's eyes which were so cold and deadly.

"Ye...Yes...CEO..." Roy stammered in a quivering voice.

"Should I open it for you?" Gil questioned which was not understandable for Roy.

Roy was not able to get what his CEO was telling him and cursed himself for being abortive.

"Roy, I am finding you being impertinent..." Gil's voice instantly turned cold which was enough to make Roy tremble in terror.

"Mr. Roy... are you the CEO for whom I should open the door for, or is the door automatic which is going to open by itself with my stare on it?" Gil retorted which jolted Roy.

He finally was able to understand what his CEO was talking about. So he immediately stepped forward and pull the door for his CEO.

"Why the hell did I choose to come here? Knowing that I will be surrounded by a bunch of fools," Gil muttered stepping inside his office.

"Honey, finally you are here." Seeing his wife, Martha, coming towards him Gil stood still.

She approached him and tried to hug him but Gil stepped back and cleared his throat. Martha stood still seeing Gil's reaction and felt hurt inside.

She had so much expectation for seeing her husband after so long but Gil's reaction made her feel bad and her expectation faded away instantly. Gil's reaction showed her that her husband had not changed even a little bit.

In all this process, Roy's biggest question was answered. His CEO, Gil really didn't let anyone approach him not even his wife. And he was pitying the fate of his CEO's wife.

An awkward silence filled the office for a while until Martha cleared her throat and said, "Welcome back."

"I don't need anyone's greetings. I am not here to hear them," said Gil marching towards his seat.

"Fine... I will be leaving then. See you in the evening then," said Martha taking a deep breath before stepping out of the office.

As soon as she was out of the office, Gil gave a cold glance to Roy and asked, "What the hell is she doing here?"

"I...I have no idea, CEO. Trust me, I didn't saw her entering your office," replied Roy in a quivering voice lowering his head.

As Gil dropped on his chair, he caught a glimpse of a bunch of red roses placed on his table. Seeing the roses his past memories got refreshed on his mind. Memory in which He had gifted the same red roses to Eva.

He picked up the roses and without any second thought threw it on the trash bin. Roy gulping hard, walked out of the office. He was feeling very pity for himself remembering how he was going to deal with his cold CEO.

Usually, vampires are not afraid of anything but their masters. At least Michel Andy was a little bit easy to deal with, but his son Gil was the most difficult and harsh master of all their time. The one who didn't obey him had to pay a huge price. So there was nobody who would dare to disobey him.

Gil darted around his office. His modern vintage style office was completely different from his old office back in the Vampire world. His office had no window to let the beam of sunlight fall inside and was painted a dark color.

After a while, when Gil was busy scanning through the files there was a sudden knock on his door. Before Gil could answer the knock the door opened wide and footsteps approached Gil.

Anger simmer inside Gil as the person dared to enter his office without his permission.

"How can you walk inside without my permission," Gil retorted without even glancing at the person.

"Hello mate..." the familiar voice of the person made Gil lift his head, and catch a glimpse of his old friend Carlos.

Gil didn't respond to his greetings and got straight to the point. "Did you brought the thing which I asked you to bring?"

Carlos was shocked seeing how cold Gil has turned out. So in astonishment, he nodded and fetched a packet from his pocket and placed it infront of Gil.

Gil took the packet on his hand and checked it carefully.

"Are you sure you are going to do this?" Carlos questioned with concern.

"What do you think? I asked you to bring it just to check it?" Gil mumbled placing the packet on the drawer beneath his desk.

"No, I mean if you have a problem with the aroma of human blood, there is another potion we usually use, and you can.."

Gil interrupted Carlos, "Let me make this clear, Carlos. Right now I have a problem with just one aroma and you know very well which aroma I am talking about. So, I just want to get rid of it."

"You mean the aroma... which works as Musk deer for you?" Carlos inquired in astonishment.

"Yeah..." Gil nodded.

"But how is that possible? She isn't around..." Carlos got confused.

"I don't know-how. But I just want to get rid of it."

"Okay...but you know right what happens when you take it? It's side-effects and all?" Carlos still tried to persuade Gil.

"Being the Master of Vampires, do you think I wouldn't know about it? Don't provoke me, Carlos," Gil's voice turned cold.

"No, I didn't mean that..." Carlos replied and prepared to leave. "I will be leaving then.."

When Carlos reached the door and was about to pull it Gil called him out,, "Carlos.."

He turned around to hear what Gil had to tell.

"Will you work for me?" Gil asked all of a sudden.
