her one glimpse

Gil watched at the droplets of water dribbling down one after another on his window pane. He was struggling to check the surrounding through the windowpane but he was not able to get a clear view.

Almost after five years, he was back. He was stepping back on the human world, to rise the vampire era which was in downfall since the day his father Michel Andy's died.

He was still able to survive that deadly attack from an unknown person, on his wedding night. He had jumped into the sea half dead but still, he survived, after all, he was a hybrid vampire who was not that easy to assassinate.

Yes, he survived his wedding night.

"Where should we be going, CEO?" implored his driver in a trembling voice.

"Drive me to the company," ordered Gil, in his cold tone without moving his gaze from the window.

The driver nodded his head but soon after that he was compelled to press the brake hard. Gill was astounded with the unexpected pullover of the car.

"What happened?" Gil interrogated darting his eyes towards his driver.

"The road seems to be blocked, maybe because of the rainfall," replied the driver, gulping hard.

It was the world's toughest job to deal with his new CEO, Gil. As, he was so brutal and inscrutable than his father, Andy Michel.

"What the hell?" Gil was about to open the door but suddenly someone knocked on the window pane.

When he glanced up at the window, through the blur window pane he saw a lady who was carrying a placard which read, "HAVE YOU SEEN MY BOY?"

He glanced at the lady carefully but he was only able to see her green eyes which were very familiar to him and it reminded him of a person who he never wanted to remember.

Trying to divert his thoughts, he darted his eyes down to the placard to see the picture of the missing boy, but the lady suddenly turned and walked away.

He gazed the lady who was wandering around in that heavy downpour, with the placard on her hand, which was soaking wet. He tried to see her face but her face was not seen at all due to the placard which she was holding close to her face. Being frustrated, he shifted his eyes away from her.

But unexpectedly, his driver rolled down the windowpane to glance around and in no time a very familiar aroma hovered on Gil's nose. The aroma which he constantly felt like musk deer's aroma, that gave him so much amusement, and always wanted to apprehend it.

"This aroma...I know it..." Gil thought inside and darted his eyes around.

His heart was quickening. He rolled down his window and glanced around. Promptly he saw HER.

Yes, the one who he was not supposed to see.

HER... EVA... HIS TRUE LOVE!

He instantly unlocked the door and pushed it, but the door was not opening. The impatience inside him was growing to its highest peak but the door was not opening despite his numerous attempt.

"What is wrong with this door?" He grew furious and pushed harder. Ultimately, it opened.

He then hastily got down the car and darted his eyes around searching for her but she was already gone.

He spun around whispering her name, "Eva..." And his eyes searching for her another glimpse but she was nowhere to be seen.

"Is there anything wrong, CEO?" his driver inquired, patting his shoulder.

When his driver patted him, anger drifted inside him and he lost his temper in no time.

He turned around instantly and yelled looking through his driver's eyes, "How dare you to lay your filthy hand on me?"

"I... I..." his driver stammered in panic, cursing himself for forgetting the fact about his new CEO didn't like anyone hovering around him and laying finger on him was the biggest crime he had ever done in his entire life.

"And what the hell are you doing here? Why are you getting wet?" Gil added stepping closer towards the driver, gazing him with his cold eyes.

The driver stepped back and hurried back to his driver seat. Gil rolled his eyes and hopped back to his seat.

As soon as he got inside, he mumbled coldly, "Your salary will be lessened of this month, for making my car wet. And about laying your finger on me I will slash away your hand when we once reach the company."

"Have mercy on me, CEO. I am sorry. Please forgive me for this time," pleaded the driver joining his both hand.

"Okay fine, I am sparing you this time, next time I will slash your hand first only then I will have a conversation with you," threatened Gil.

"I will not let you down, CEO," said the driver gasping in relief.

"Now are you going to just waste my time gasping and smiling?" Gil questioned, drying his suit with the tissue paper.

The driver hastily started the car and drove away. Luckily the road was clear by then, or else he would surely be kicked out by his CEO. The whole way drive was pitying himself and was worried about how he was going to deal with his new cruel CEO.

On the other hand, Gil was feeling furious and anxious at the same time. He was there for revenge but after one sight of Eva, he melted down and went after her in that heavy rainfall.

"How could I go after her? How could I forget what she did to me? How could I forget her betrayal that easily?" he muttered.

"Did you said anything, CEO?" his driver glanced at the rare view mirror and implored.

"Yes, stop eyeing me from that mirror and better concentrate on your driving," said Gil coldly, glancing outside the window.
