loose hair

He turned around to hear what Gil had to tell.

"Will you work for me?" Gil asked all of a sudden.

Scratching his head, Carlos said in dilemma, "I need some time to think over it."

"Is that a rejection?" Gil questioned in a serene voice.

"I have my job Gil, you know that, right? I have to deal with my job before accepting your offer. Try to understand man," Carlos tried to persuade him.

"I don't care," Gil retorted and in the blink of an eye, he was standing close to Carlos, glaring deep into his eyes.

"Wo...calm down man. Why are you this curt? You were never this before. What has happened to you all of a sudden?"

Raising his fist Carlos was about to smack on his chest. But Gil stepped back and tucking his hand on his pocket, he mumbled in a deep voice, "nothing remains same, don't you know that? Everything changes and I am also a part of that everything."

Carlos attempting to persuade his cold friend said, "Look Gil, whatever happened it was just fate. The past is past you cannot change it. So, you need to move on buddy."

"I have moved on. That is the reason I am back for my revenge. Don't you see that?"

Carlos scoffed and said, "Seriously? Do you call this moving on? You can lie to me, Gil but not yourself. Do you really think you can take your revenge over Eva... I know how truly you loved..."

Gil simmering in anger hearing her name interrupted him. "Don't take her name infront of me. And let me clear this Carlos, I really hate her more than I have loved her back then. And I am damn sure my this haterade will assist me to accomplish my mission revenge."

Carlos was out of words hearing Gil. He knew trying to console or persuade Gil was like throwing a stone in the river, no use at all.

So lowering his head he silently tiptoed out of the office. Gil watched his friend's departing back and once again he was left all alone in his office.

"What does he think..? I cannot get my revenge over her? I am and I will take my revenge. I will make her pay for my every single pain she has given to me. I am not going to forget her betrayal that easily. I will make her cry tears of blood," Gil muttered pacing back to his seat, simmering in anger.

Whole day Gil was occupied by his work and didn't move an inch from his chair. In the evening he got up to leave but suddenly recalled that Martha will be waiting for him. He felt disgusted just by her thoughts and dropped back on his chair.

All these years he had ignored Martha and didn't let her approach him. So Martha was left with no other choice rather than returning to the human world away from Gil and handling the business.

The wedding which he did just to teach Eva a lesson was now turned into a huge mess. He was not able to get rid of Martha and his marriage handily, as Martha was the one who saved him on their wedding night when he was attacked and had to jump into the sea to survive from a deadly attack.

She was the one to drag him to the shore and save his life in time. So he was compelled to keep his marriage against his will.

In the process of teaching Eva the lesson, he was left learning the biggest lesson of his life.

He had learned that it was not the right thing to drag ourselves into a relationship just to get rid of another.

In between the intentions of taking revenge, he had overlooked the fact that he was to face his wife Martha which, was very tough.

It was only their wedding night when Gil showed some love to her but after that, he never went close to her and not even gave Martha permission to touch him.

Willingly or unwillingly Gil was still committed to Eva. Whenever he imagined of making love and went near Martha, he was constantly dragged back due to the remembrances that stayed fresh on his mind about him and Eva making love during their college days.

It was not that he didn't pity Martha, for not being able to give her the place she deserved but it was not as simple as he had thought.

It was not easy for him like Eva who had the baby on her belly of someone else and had married someone else and was leading a happy life.

"Happy life? No, Ruby, that is not possible until I met my son," Eva mumbled, pulling her stockings above her feet, covering her thighs and tucking it on her waist.

"Wandered around the street with placard today?" Ruby questioned, applying her red lipstick looking at her reflection on the vanity mirror which had small lightbulbs around its side.

"Yeah, need to make a new one as it all got soaked due to rain. Luckily my boy's picture was saved. And you know what it is the last latest picture of him," Eva said collecting her long black hair on her hand and grooming it into a high ponytail.

"No..." said Ruby turning towards Eva.

Eva was stunned hearing until Ruby added further "no ponytail again. Come on you look gorgeous in loose hair. I have told you so many times, but you don't listen to me even for once."

"Loose hair..." Eva heard whispering voice on her head.

She flinched by the voice and spun around to discover if anyone was around, but there was nobody inside the room except Ruby, who was staring at her in astonishment.

"What?" Ruby questioned raising her eyebrows.

"Nothing..." said Eva, letting off her hair and grooming it with a comb.

"Everything is fine, right?" asked Ruby catching sight of the blemishes on Eva's back while she was spinning around which was now covered by her lose hair.

"Yeah..." Nodded Eva grabbing her mask.

"But that..." Ruby tried to ask her out.

"No, but... Talk time is over my darling, now let's go before manager comes in and shouts the harsh language for us like any other time," interrupted Eva not giving a chance to Ruby speak out.

Ruby nodded her head absently and both wearing masks walked out of the changing room.
