Chapter 118- Search for the Power

Jamari’s POV

“What aren’t you telling me?” My eyes move from one King to the next, suspicion in their depths.

“It’s nothing.” Kenji says, running his fingers through his hair.

“We need to prepare for the spell so we can find the key to releasing Remiel from my father’s prison.” Levi says, avoiding my eyes. Every fiber in my being tells me that they are hiding something from me, but I decide to ignore it, for now. There are more important things to deal with right now, like getting my Angel back.

“Let’s go get things started then.” I tell them, rising from my seat.

An hour later…

“Are you sure you want me to perform the spell?” I look at the supplies scattered around us that Levi and Ruth went and gathered. “You do remember that the last spell that I performed didn’t go according to plan, right?” I turn skeptical eyes in Levi’s direction.

Moving closer to where I stand, Levi wraps his arms around my middle. “I think it went exactly according to plan Sweetheart.” He whispers in my ear
