Jamari's POVI woke up snuggled between two male bodies with no idea how long I had been knocked out for. Power flows through my system in quantities I haven’t felt thus far. I guess my body did need rest to recharge. I open my eyes slowly to look around at my surroundings. Nothing looked familiar, causing me to frown slightly. Jamari’s POV “I really don’t think we need to bring so many Demon’s with us to the old Church Ruins.” I say for the hundredth time since finding out Levi planned on bringing body guards with us to the Ruins. “My Mother has made an appearance twice while we have been here, I am not taking any chances with your safety Red.” Levi says over his shoulder as he gives orders to six mean looking Demons he has stationed outside the perimeter of the Ruins. Once he finished giving out orders the rest of us moved past the barrier warily. Levi had a hunch that we would be able to bring armed guards within the barrier of the Ruins, but we weren’t certain that the old Church wouldn’t send us all flying away. Jamari’s POV“Stay here and watch the staircase from down here.” Levi’s orders break through my thoughts as I stare around at all of the shelves full of books. Levi’s POVThe scent of blood hits my nostrils once the blackness fades around my vision, drawing my attention to the barrier surrounding the old Church. Blood hangs in the air, dripping down the invisible barrier that is protecting us from the incoming army that is currently hurling themselves towards us.A mix of vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, giants, and maybe more continuously throw themselves at the barrier in search of a weak spot that will allow them entrance. The sound of thumping echoes all around the clearing, mixed with the angry growls from the creatures trying to get to us. Jamari’s POV‘Levi is taking a long time up there, I hope nothing went wrong.’ I pull my lip between my teeth and bite gently in anxiety. I never should have sent Levi up there. Eve’s POVMy son sure seems attached to that mortal woman of his. My eyes roll back in my head at the thought. Levi could be so much more if he would just hand that girl over to me and join my side.
