"Hello?"

"What were you doing at Tyler's house?" This was Caesar's first question once I answered his call.

It was already ten o'clock at night, and he probably just came home from accompanying Brae to her home, while I was lying on my bed, pondering how I should proceed with my moving-on process now that it was plain that Caesar would never be mine, although this was obvious from the start, and it was just my heart being stubborn.

I sighed deeply. "Just hanging out and playing," I responded casually.

I'm still so irritated with him that I can't bring myself to disguise it in my voice.

"You went there alone?" He inquired once more, hatred in his tone.

"Didn't you hear me a while ago? I made it clear to everyone that Raine was with me."

"What brought you there? Did he invite you and Raine? What prompted you to accept his invitation? You should have said no."
