A Leap of Faith

Ella's POV

My breathing was becoming ragged as the rogues' conversation settled into my head. I was now certain that I was the one they were speaking about.

But I could still not understand why they were saying that Willow drugged me. When did she drug me? And how was she even able to arrange for these rogues to come for me at such short notice?

I closed my eyes and tried to remember when she could have gotten the chance to do this and then it occurred to me. She could have only drugged me when she insisted I eat lunch with her —the one she threw on the floor for me to eat like a pet.

"Damn you Willow!" I cursed under my breath. I had been so occupied with escaping that I didn't even think she could harm me at that point.

A sharp pain pricked my underbelly and I got reminded of the pain. It felt like it was moving within me, starting from the left and then painfully moving to the right.

I quickly slapped my hands to my mouth as another wave hit me.

"Hmm," I groaned into my hands.
