Chapter 78: Don't

Aria threw her head back in laughter when Cedric made a joke. She wiped the tears from her eyes and continued chuckling even when the joke had already died down.

"Damn," Cedric said. "I didn't know I was that funny. I should have pursued comedy instead of modeling or something."

"Don't get too ahead of yourself," Aria calmed him down. "I merely laughed because it was unexpected of you to make a joke. You're always so serious."

Cedric scratched the back of his neck. "Am I? I think I'm loosening up compared to how I've been in the past."

Aria's eyes widened in surprise. "You were even more uptight back then?"

He nodded his head. "Yup."

"How is that even possible?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "You could say that I was the typical nerd. I was very fond of studying, had little to no friends, and would always be serious in class."

"That's hot," Aria couldn't help but say.

Cedric's ears redenned. "Trust me. It wasn't cute," he said. "Almost all of my classmates were intimidated by me.
