Last night I had gone for a walk around the town, relishing in each detail, feeling the connection that had formed over the short amount of time since my arrival. I wandered for hours, alone with my thoughts and the cold night chill. I hiked all the way to the East Border, where my senses of protection had kicked in for the first time. The small pup, crying behind the trees and reuniting her with her mother.
Much has changed since then, I went from being afraid and alone after the loss of my people to having a real connection to this pack and its members. I was pummeled with information about myself that I had never thought possible. I found my father, who was alive in this Realm, and my mother, who had unfortunately died. I had encountered the other half of my soul and learned about the mystic connection with a deity.
➳ PernwélNever before had I given in to the urges that surfaced when I’m around Jake. A force that growls alive in me and pushes to be set free.I didn’t regret for one moment having sex with my mate, I did however, not feel comfortable with being bitten. It had been explained to me that it would trigger the change in me, but I was scared of the underlying reason why it had taken so long for them to tell me.Jake and I spent the rest of the morning and noon tangled in each other’s limbs. The dresser had broken completely and needed fixing and the mirror lay shattered in pieces on the floor, littering it with tiny shards. The order had been placed for a new tub. I gazed towards the bathroom and I could see the crack in the porcelain
➳ Pernwél“Is there a way for me to solidify my survival?” I asked Grandma Rose. The question had been circling in my mind when I found out about the possibility of death after the bite. It worried me and I hoped there was a way around it.“I have no idea sweetheart, I have never encountered a situation like this in all my years.” She shook her head, drinking the last bit of tea from her cup before refilling it.“There must have been, with a pure human.” I countered.“Yes, but you aren’t a human are you?” Grandma Rose pointed at me with her spoon. “You are different, you even possess magic.”“M
🐾 Alpha JakeI called Darren through the mindlink to meet each other in my office. Pernwél was right, I needed to leap into action with my pack members. I had always been straightforward with them and they were hurt and angry with me for keeping such important information from them. When the Alpha found his Luna it was a celebration for the entire werewolf pack. The strength of an Alpha came from his people and vice versa. A Luna is the culmination of it all, she solidifies the bond between the integrants and benefits all of us. It also meant the possibility of an heir for the Alpha, meaning there was continuity in sight. Stability for the future of the Grey Moon pack.Darren was already waiting for me when I arrived, leaning against the window sill with his arms crossed over his chest. He still looked tired and wor
🐾 RuneDarren had come back bearing great news yesterday night. I was just putting Drake in his bed when he arrived and hugged my small frame from behind, trailing soft kisses over my neck and collarbone, lingering on my mark.Alpha Jake was ecstatic about us and after addressing the pack about his own news he invited them all for a presentation this weekend to celebrate the Beta female, me.I was feeling very nervous about it, but Darren calmed me down, saying that it would be a festive gathering to receive congratulations from the entire pack. The presentation of the Beta female wasn’t an entire ceremony like it would be with Pernwél’s Luna one, but it was reason enough to have me trembling skittishly on my legs.Every pack had their own customs. I ca
➳ PernwélWith the preparations for Rune’s presentation as Beta female, Jake and I hadn’t had time to ourselves. I hadn’t talked to him about what had happened in the forest and how it had influenced my decision. I was so ecstatic about it all that I had jumped into his arms the moment he came looking for me and our kisses and touches had consumed us.We had gone to bed exhausted that night, it had been an eventful day to say the least. The next morning, after we both went to training, we had jumped directly on the work to be done around the pack. Jake had mountains of paperwork laying on his desk and didn’t have the opportunity to get started on them because of the distractions lately. While he confined himself in his office with Darren, I would help Rune around town with her planning f
➳ PernwélJake laid down next to me, cupping my face in his hands. The candles and the lit fireplace gave the room a nice warm feel while the shadow of the flames danced on the walls and ceiling. The green and brown elements of the room reflected the warm light beautifully, like being in the forest with a firepit.“Is everything okay?” Jake asked, stroking the hair away from my face as he came to lay between my legs, pinning me to our bed.“I’m just thinking.” I gazed lovingly into the eyes of my mate.“About the change?” He lowered his lips to my forehead and gave me a tender kiss.“Sort of, but I'm not worried. I think I’m going to be okay.” I spoke confidentl
➳ PernwélThe sensation of being completely filled by Jake was one I couldn’t get accustomed to. He stretched me delightfully and hit the right spots deep inside me. My walls clenched around his shaft as he slowly edged in and out of my core. His hand grabbed on to my waist to keep me down as he built up a pace, thrusting in and out of my core. While he did, his gaze never left mine, he was opening the door for me to look directly into his heart, baring himself to me as he made love to me. His other hand trailed over my shoulder, tracing the area around my collarbone, that scorched under his touch.Somehow, my body knew what was about to happen, and craved it instantly. My core was on fire, the only way to subside the flames was with his touch. He lowered both his h
➳ PernwélMarching towards the building ahead of me, I grumbled deeply in annoyance. The moon shone bright in the starry night sky and the rest as far as I could see in the distance, I was met with pitchblack darkness. The river gave off the calming sound of its running water while the cold chill lapped hungrily at my face. My thick fur coat shielded me from the wind coursing through the riverlands. Two lanterns sat at each side of the door, giving enough light to the surrounding area. I pushed open the door with brute force and sauntered forward into the large open room. A round table sat in the center, people had been arriving and taking their seats before me.Uttering a grunt from my lips, I scraped the legs of the chair
