SELIORA POV

I peeped from under the table to see who it was.

It was Kaelion. He must have forgotten something and came to pick it up.

I was frightened but managed to keep my cool, I could not let him find me here.

“I was informed by the guards that you let Seliora go,” A voice whom I assumed to be Jackson’s said.

He was with him.

“Yes,” Kaelion responded to him just as he was about to turn towards where I was hiding.

Seizing this opportunity, I quietly crawled away and tiptoed towards the shelf.

“According to the doctor, she needed to get some rest. I could not just leave her in the cell for her condition to worsen,” Kaelion replied to Jackson while I peeped from where I was.

“This is going to upset Claire. What if Seliora loses her cool and attacks her again?” Jackson stated, his voice filled with concern.

“I have it all under control, besides it won’t be long till I get rid of Seliora,” Kaelion stated, taking more steps towards the table.

He then opened one of the drawers and picked up a book.

“Found it,” He said with a smile raising it.

This was the first time I had seen him smile since I arrived at the pack. Seeing how ruthless he was while attacking my pack, one would think he never smiles.

They then both walked towards the door but Kaelion suddenly stopped halfway.

“I could have sworn I locked the door before leaving earlier,” He muttered, looking around suspiciously.

“It probably skipped your mind, Kaelion. No one would dare to enter your office,” Jackson uttered, opening the door.

From the look on Kaelion’s face, he didn't look convinced. He turned his back once again towards exactly where I was.

My mind skipped a bit at the realisation that I was about to be caught. I began to wonder how he was going to punish me this time.

“We are late, Kaelion. We have not been to the council meeting since that attack happened, we cannot get there late,” Jackson said, in a loud tone.

“You are right,” Kaelion responded to him, taking a deep breath before finally walking out of the room.

“Fuck!” I exclaimed, placing my hands on my chest.

I then waited for a few seconds before crawling back to the box.

Eager to see its contents, I opened it up but was disappointed. It only contained pictures of Kaelion and an unfamiliar face which I instantly knew was Misha.

There was a box of diamond rings which I opened up and more pictures.

“No, there has to be something I can use in here,” I muttered to myself out of frustration.

I then began to check through all of the photos when I spotted a phone at the bottom of the box.

“Yes!” I stated, excitedly.

With this, I could call my mother and tell her where I was. I instantly turned the phone on and dialled my mother’s number.

“Pick up,” I muttered anxiously, placing the cell phone to my left ear.

“Hello,” My mother answered, after a few seconds.

Hearing my mother’s voice elated me. I had never felt so much happiness to hear the word hello.

“Mother,” I replied.

“Seliora, is that you?” She said, her voice filled with happiness.

“Yes mother, I don't have much time and I want you to listen to me. I am fine, however..,” I said, but got a low battery warning from the cell phone.

“Damn it,” I muttered in annoyance, realising the phone was on one percent.

“We have searched all around for you. Tell me where the attackers took you,?Seliora.” Mother inquired.

I had two options at the moment, tell my mother where I was and risk Kaelion finding out I went through his precious dead mate's things, or end the call right now to prevent the battery from running out before I can delete the call log.

One was going to get me into a lot of trouble while one would not.

I decided to go with the latter and ended the call immediately, I then went on to block the number to prevent her from calling back and also deleted the call log.

Afterwards, I arranged the box the exact way I found it and rushed towards the door.

I tried to open it up but remembered it had been locked from behind, I would not be able to lock it once I got out if I opened it up again.

I had to think of a different way to get out of here.

Scanning around the room, I sighted a small window and rushed towards it.

I peeped through it and was happy to see it led to the hallway which was a few minutes away from my room.

I instantly opened up the window with the earring and made sure no one was watching before jumping right out of it.

I then carefully closed it and hurried back towards my room.

It angered me to know I was so close but now that I knew where the phone was, I could go back another day.

“I see he let you go,” A voice spoke behind me.

“Claire,” I muttered, looking back at her. “You seem okay for someone I almost killed yesterday.”

“I knew you would not be able to do it, Kaelion would never be able to trust you after yesterday and will eventually be forced to kill you like he did to your pack members.”

All I wanted was to bash her face into the wall in that moment for what she said.

“He came to see me yesterday in the cell, Claire and you know what he did next?” I whispered to her. “He released me by morning, I wonder why he did that.”

Knowing I could not risk Kaelion’s rage by hitting Claire again, the only option I had was to taunt her with the thing she wanted so much, Kaelion.

“I see why he chose your cousin over you now,” I added, feeling satisfied by how furious she looked.

SELIORA POVI had no regrets about what had earlier happened with Claire. I only saw an opportunity and decided to use it to my advantage.Claire’s action took me a bit by surprise though, she looked so innocent but now I knew exactly who she was.Her coming to see me was all a trick to provoke me which I fell for.“I know you don't trust me, I don't trust you either but it's really simple. I would have killed her way before you even intervened if I wanted to,” I said, looking at Kaelion. He said nothing afterwards and only walked away quietly while I wondered why he came to the cell in the place.“It probably makes him so happy to see me here,” I muttered, lying down on the blanket one of the guards had earlier given to me.This was my second night being taken captive under Kaelion’s pack and I still have not been able to make any significant progress. All my plans seemed to have either failed or backfired.“Fuck!” I stated angrily, standing up.Lying down was not helping, it only m

KAELION POVSeeing the proud look Seliora had on her face after almost murdering one of the closest people I had left made me fear I might have gone too soft on her.I needed to remind her that she was being taken captive here.“Go into your room and call the pack doctor. I will see you in a minute,” I stated, facing Claire. She nodded her head and walked away quietly while I wondered what to do with Seliora.“You would have killed her if I were not here to stop you,” I yelled, trying so hard to hold back my anger. If Seliora had hurt her, I would not have been able to forgive myself. “You disobey my rules every chance you get. You are going to get punished this time,” I growled.“Really,” Seliora simply responded. It seemed like she had something to say but I didn't want to hear whatever it was she had to say.“I was protecting myself from her, she attacked me!” She stated.I was sure there was no way Claire was lying to me, Seliora had to be the one lying.“Did you ask her for a wa

SELIORA POV“Where am I?” I mumbled, slowly opening my eyes. The last thing I remembered was collapsing in front of Kaelion while trying to talk to him. I managed to open my eyes completely and tried to sit up but I was too weak. I scanned the room with my eyes slowly and from what I could tell, I was in a hospital.“You are fine, you were brought here to the pack clinic by the Alpha,” I heard a voice say.“Kaelion,” I muttered in disbelief. He was the last person I imagined would bring me here.“Yes,” The pack doctor replied, walking towards me with a tray of food of water. “You have to eat, you are suffering from extreme exhaustion and starvation.”“How long was I out for?” I asked, taking the tray from him.“About six hours,” The doctor responded.“Wow,” I mumbled.“Eat up and rest, I will be back in three hours to check up on you,” The doctor said, walking away.I slowly opened up the plate which contained a bowl of food, some vegetables, and steak. “Smells good,” I whispered, t

KAELION POVThis didn't look like a trick or an attempt to fool me but if it was, she must be pretty good at acting.Without a second's thought, I picked her up and hurried towards the quarter where the pack doctor lives with Jackson right behind me.Whatever it was, I could not let her die. She was only useful to me alive.“Get her on the table,” The pack doctor who seemed to have sensed us coming instructed.I gently placed her down while watching the doctor examine her. For some reason, I hated to see her this way.It reminded me of how helpless I felt seeing Misha’s dead body.“What is wrong with her?” I inquired, running out of patience.“She is suffering from starvation and extreme exhaustion, Alpha. It seemed like she had not slept or eaten for a long amount of time,” The doctor explained.I knew Seliora was relentless and stubborn but I never thought she would succumb to starving herself. I felt sorry for chaining her and dragging her to the border but there was no way I could

  • SELIORA'S REVENGE; HER COMEBACK   Chapter 16

SELIORA POVThis was enough to prove that Kaelion might have been wrong about everything. He was so quick to assume this attack was from my father.Maybe he acted under annoyance and should have probably investigated the attack or maybe his mate’s death made him too delusional to even think things through.Either way, I loved his response and looked forward to making him suffer till he took his last breath. I had also hoped this was Father but I was not disappointed. I was sure he was doing everything he could to get me out of here. This was going to be a bit hard for him considering Kaelion wiped out all of our pack members and father’s men.“We have to go,” The familiar man who earlier came into the office to break the news of the attack to Kaelion announced standing right next to me.“You are his Beta right,” I muttered, looking sideways at him. “What is your name?.“Jackson,” He answered, coldly.“I am guessing Kaelion is also your friend,” I uttered. “What do you want?” Jackson
