KAELION POV

For the first few weeks after Misha’s death, I could barely sleep, she kept appearing in my dreams.

It stopped after a while.

Maybe it was because today was the day I was supposed to propose to her or Lexi’s burial ceremony. I had no idea why I dreamt about her after so long.

Unlike the other times I dreamt about her, this felt so real. I saw and felt her presence however she disappeared just as I tried to touch her.

Gazing into Seliora’s eyes earlier made me feel relieved even though I had thought she was Misha for a moment.

After she helped me earlier by getting me to calm down, I decided I was going to let her go after all this was over.

It wasn't a decision I made in that moment, it had been lingering in my mind for so long.

It was best to let her go before the soft spot I felt for her turned to something else. Something I might not be able to control.

“After we finish finding whoever did this to Lexi, I am going to let you go but I am not sparing your father, he deserves to die,” I stated, still maintaining eye contact with her.

I liked the way she blinked her eyes whenever she got nervous.

“We should get back to sleep,” I added, breaking the moment and handing the shirt back up to her.

I then lay back down and faced the other side.

After some minutes, I felt her lying back too. I tried closing my eyes but I could not sleep.

Feeling restless, I turned towards Seliora and watched as she slept.

Her hair kept falling on her face which disturbed her sleep.

“What am I doing?” I said in a low tone snapping out of it yet continued to watch her as she struggled to get the hair off her face.

Seeing that she could not because she was still half asleep, I gently sat up and slowly brushed the hair off her face with my fingers.

After I was done, I kept brushing my hands against her face.

“What are you doing to me, Seliora?” I whispered.

All I wanted to do was continue to stare at her all night.

“You cannot be doing this, Kaelion?” I muttered, standing up and walking away from her.

She was supposed to be a way for me to kill her father easily. I couldn't possibly be falling for the daughter of the one man I wanted to kill more than anything.

Feeling confused, I paced around the library.

After Misha, I thought I had lost the capacity to feel anything but grief and rage.

“I have to let her go soon,” I thought to myself.

Maybe I was only feeling this way because she was around.

After finding out what happened to Lexi, I was going to make sure to kill her father immediately and let her go.

Whatever it was that I felt, it had to be simply because of the fated mate bond.

“This is not real,” I said to myself, turning to walk away.

After whatever just happened, I knew I had to sleep elsewhere.

I turned to look at her for a longer time before I walked away and noticed she was starting to shiver from the cold. She had the shirt I had earlier handed to her tight beside her.

“How is she so stubborn?” I muttered, walking towards her.

I could not just leave her in the cold.

“Hey,” I whispered to her, tapping her on the shoulders. “You are freezing, Seliora. You should put on the shirt.”

“No, I do not want it. Do not touch me!” She said angrily, opening her eyes.

“It's going to get worse, Seliora. You have to take it,” I insisted.

She kept refusing and sat up after a while with her hands around her chest.

“Do not go anywhere, I will be back,” I muttered seeing that she was not going to take my shirt.

I put my shirt back on and slowly walked away. The library was dark due to the windows being closed but I slowly managed to make my way to the drawer.

I opened it up and picked up the first thing I could touch in it which was a small torch.

I instantly put it on then continued to search the other drawers. After a while, I found a candle and a lighter.

Using the torchlight, I made my way back to Seliora and sat in front of her.

I then lit the candle and placed it in front of her.

“You should feel warm soon,” I muttered, staring at her.

“Do you ever regret what you did to my pack?” She asked, looking towards me. “Do you ever look back and wish you didn't do it?.

I wished I could tell her what she wanted to hear, I wished I could tell her I regretted doing it or even felt guilty.

“No,” I stated, watching the blank expression on her face. “I promised Misha I was going to avenge her, I have no regrets.”

“Even if my dad did do it, what about the innocent pack members you killed. What makes you different from the people who did this to your pack?. She asked.

“You should get back to sleep,” I simply muttered, lying down and closing my eyes.

The truth was I had no idea how to answer her question.

Minutes later, I drifted off to sleep.

The morning sun shining through the small window woke me up the next day.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked towards Seliora but she was not beside me.

“Fuck!” I exclaimed, standing up.

I started to look around the Library for her and soon found her in front of one of the shelves.

“What are you doing there, Seliora? You are up to something again, aren’t you?” I asked, rushing towards her angrily.

I should have known never to trust her.

SELIORA POVRex was dead and Zack had escaped. All in one night. All that I could get the answers I so desperately wanted were gone.Kaelion was crashing out and instructing all the guards to make sure to find Zack and bring him back to the pack while I just stared at him in silence. After getting tired of listening to Kaelion instruct his guards, I walked out of the hospital and went into my room.I then locked the door and walked over the window. I opened it up and smiled at the moon which was now at its peak.Changing into my wolf form was the only way I could release the tension of the night.I soon felt my claws emerging and my senses heightened, just seconds later, I had turned.I let out a howl then launched myself out of the window. I then ran out of the pack gate which was open and began to run through the woods.Full moons were always my favourite.I made sure to avoid the obsidian pack members and stay as far away from them as possible. They were a pack while I was a lone w

KAELION POVRex was getting away.“I will be back, Kaelion. I will come to take what is mine,” He stated, swinging the door wide open while I continued to run towards the gate.“Damn it!” I muttered as he ran out.I then reached the gate but heard a loud thud before I could go after him.“Rex,” I called out, looking out of the gate.If Rex was right about this being a bigger conspiracy that Alpha Thane was a part of, it only meant I had a huge problem. The one who orchestrated the plan to attack my pack was still out there.“Found him,” I heard, Jackson say walking into the house while dragging Rex by the legs. “I also knew the one who attacked Zack would try to finish him off.”I had never been happier to see Jackson.“Shut the gate,” I muttered, staring at the guards.Tonight was a full moon which meant I only had about two hours to get Rex to talk before transforming into my wolf form.Rex would also be transforming. He would be much stronger than he is now.“You will have to kill

SELIORA POV“Someone is here,” I whispered into Kaelion’s ear before slowly peeping into the hospital room.It was Rex.He was in the hospital room to finish what he started just like I had predicted.I could feel Kaelion’s heartbeat race as he leaned towards me and watched Rex make his way slowly towards Zack who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed.I could also feel his anger rising but this was not the time to act. I needed to see if there was anything Rex could do that which give me some clues about why he was doing this.“Stop!” Kaelion growled, rushing out of where we hid as Rex pulled a knife out of his shirt. He immediately gripped Rex’s hand while I watched the scene quietly.“I trusted you, Rex. Why would you betray the pack like this?” Kaelion asked, his voice a bit calmer this time.Rex didn’t look remorseful about what he had done. He only continued to struggle to release the knife in his hands.“Why!” Kaelion barked, finally taking the knife from him and swinging i

  • SELIORA'S REVENGE; HER COMEBACK   chapter 57

SELIORA POVI was completely sure of this. After Jackson had earlier announced Zack had been attacked, I was certain it must have been one of the guards.Back at my pack, there was a way I was able to determine whether a person was telling the truth or lying by listening to the sound of their heartbeats.I did the same to the guards as Jackson interrogated them about the incident. They all had slow and steady heartbeats which told me all I needed to know, they were speaking the truth. This then made me conclude the traitor was a person of a higher rank in the pack. This narrowed my options and left me with two options. Jackson and the head of the pack of soldiers, Rex.Asking Kaelion to call out all of the pack members was a way for me to search Rex’s room. The search was difficult, I had to unlock his room and hurry because he could be back in any minute. For the first two minutes, I kept searching but found nothing that could prove him guilty. Afterwards, I tried to make my way out.

  • SELIORA'S REVENGE; HER COMEBACK   chapter 56

KAELION POVI had nothing to do with what happened to Alpha Thane and since I would really love to explain to Seliora, I had bigger things to worry about.Jackson looked really worried.“The prisoner from the blood moon pack was attacked and almost killed in his cell,” Jackson stated. “I think this might be the same person who attacked Lexi.”“What!” I exclaimed, angrily.Enough was enough.Today was the day I was going to find whoever was doing this. The traitor in the pack had to die today.“How is he?” I asked, storming out of the office angrily with Jackson. “How did the person who did this pass through the guards without being caught?”“He is in the pack hospital. All the guards on duty have been tied down. They all claimed not to know what happened,” Jackson answered. “Whoever did this is not an ordinary pack member, he is someone who nobody would have suspected,” Seliora spoke behind me.“Gather all the pack members, Jackson,” I demanded, as we walked out of the house.Zack co

I..can,” I stuttered, running my hands through my hair.I was having an anxiety attack. The last time I had one was when my sister died years ago.“You are all right,” Kaelion said pulling me into a tight embrace while I just remained there. After a few minutes, I managed to calm down.“You good now?” He asked, breaking the hug.“Yes,” I replied, walking over to the phone which was still on the table.“Why..Father?” I asked, as my hands trembled. He has broken my trust in him. Not only that, I wondered if he was ever going to tell me the truth that Kaelion didn't threaten to kill me.He lied without hesitation.“Forgive me, Seliora. I will make sure to come get you,” He replied.“I said Why?” I yelled, picking up the phone. “You did this to our pack, you ruined everything. I defended you with all I had in me.”“It’s complicated, Seliora. I had to do it bec
