SELIORA POV

I didn't know whether to laugh, try to help, or just watch him in silence.

Watching him suffer like this should make me happy but it didn't. I only felt sorry for him.

“Breathe,” I managed to say after a while, but it didn't seem to help him.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped forward towards him, and after much hesitation, I cupped his face in my hands.

“Hey, it's gonna be okay. You do not have to be scared. You are not here alone in here, okay,” I whispered in a low tone, gazing into his eyes and watching his breathing become stable.

For a moment, all I could hear was the sound of our hearts beating in sync.

“You can let me go now,” He muttered, after a while.

I instantly removed my hands from his face and looked away awkwardly.

“There’s an old blanket right behind one of the shelves. I am going to go get it,” He said, walking away while my mind continued to flash back to the moment I had just had with him.

“I found it,” He announced, snapping me from my thoughts.

“Okay,” I muttered, making my way towards him while looking back at the shelf I had earlier seen the building structure.

I had to get it tonight or lose the opportunity.

I watched as he gently spread the blanket on the floor. Afterwards, he lay on his side.

“You should go to sleep. I am going to go check some more books,” I muttered, turning back to walk away.

“No, Seliora. I am not letting you out of my sight,” He stated.

I thought to reply to him but trying to convince him might have him suspect my real motives. It was better to just lie down beside him and wait till he sleeps off.

“Okay,” I answered, looking back at him.

I then gently lay down and stared at the ceiling.

Flashbacks of the way he stared into my eyes earlier started to flood back but I instantly blocked them off by thinking back to how he murdered my pack in cold blood.

After a few minutes, I noticed I was starting to feel sleepy and tried to peek at Kaelion who was facing the other side.

Seeing that both his eyes were closed, I gently sat up and waved my hands close to his eyes to make sure he was asleep.

“Yes,” I whispered excitedly after getting no reaction from him.

I then slowly stood up but froze as he suddenly turned towards my side.

“Misha,” I heard him whisper in a low tone. “Will you marry me, Misha?”

I felt a wave of relief wash over me after realising he was having a dream.

“No Misha. Please do not leave me! You have to come back to me,” He stated in a much louder tone this time, trembling and sweating.

“This is none of my business,” I muttered, standing up.

Whatever bad dream he was having should not concern me.

“I am lost without you, please,” He continued to mumble.

“No, Seliora. You have to leave him,” I said to myself, looking back at him yet I found myself bending down and holding his hands which were still trembling.

“It's just a dream, it is not real,” I whispered to him. “Snap out of it!”

He slowly opened up his eyes while I squeezed his hands which were still trembling tightly.

I could not understand what I was doing and why I felt obligated to help him. I could have left to grab the building structure I wanted.

“Misha,” He mumbled, slowly.

Hearing him call me by her name made my heart skip.

“It's Seliora,” I responded, letting go of his hands.

“I am sorry, I.. just..thought..that..,” He stuttered.

“It's okay, you had a bad dream. I get it,” I answered.

For some reason, I was upset he called me by the name of his dead mate.

“You must have loved her so much,” I muttered but instantly regretted it. “Forget I said that.”

He nodded his head in agreement while I lay back beside him. I then closed my eyes and tried to wait till he sleeps off again.

“Hey,” He said, tapping me on the shoulder. “It's going to get really cold soon, you should have this.”

“Oh,” I responded, opening up my eyes and looking in his direction.

He had removed his shirt and was stretching it towards me.

“No, I am good,” I said, instantly looking away from him.

“Sit up,” He demanded, gently helping me up. “I have never met anyone as stubborn as you.”

He then placed his shirt over my shoulder while my heart raced as his warm hands brushed through my skin.

I hated whatever it was I was feeling.

I hated not being able to control the fated mate bond which somehow always pulled me closer to him.

“I said I do not want it!” I stated angrily, removing his shirt and handing it back to him.

I didn't want to feel this way. It was easier for me not to whenever he was being the wicked Kaelion who murdered my pack.

His gentle and nice side made it harder to resist the pull.

“Stop being nice to me. I could freeze to death for all you care,” I uttered.

“Easy, Seliora. I was just trying to…,” He muttered but I cut in before he could finish speaking.

“Do not do anything for me, Kaelion. I am only here to help you find out the truth. Afterwards, I am left at the mercy of whatever you choose to do to me,” I stated, feeling more and more agitated.

“For what is worth, I am not going to kill you. I never wanted to,” He said, in a low tone.

“Why?” I asked.

“Because I couldn't even if I tried,” He replied calmly, his eyes locking onto mine.

I knew I should not believe him but I did.

SELIORA POVRex was dead and Zack had escaped. All in one night. All that I could get the answers I so desperately wanted were gone.Kaelion was crashing out and instructing all the guards to make sure to find Zack and bring him back to the pack while I just stared at him in silence. After getting tired of listening to Kaelion instruct his guards, I walked out of the hospital and went into my room.I then locked the door and walked over the window. I opened it up and smiled at the moon which was now at its peak.Changing into my wolf form was the only way I could release the tension of the night.I soon felt my claws emerging and my senses heightened, just seconds later, I had turned.I let out a howl then launched myself out of the window. I then ran out of the pack gate which was open and began to run through the woods.Full moons were always my favourite.I made sure to avoid the obsidian pack members and stay as far away from them as possible. They were a pack while I was a lone w

KAELION POVRex was getting away.“I will be back, Kaelion. I will come to take what is mine,” He stated, swinging the door wide open while I continued to run towards the gate.“Damn it!” I muttered as he ran out.I then reached the gate but heard a loud thud before I could go after him.“Rex,” I called out, looking out of the gate.If Rex was right about this being a bigger conspiracy that Alpha Thane was a part of, it only meant I had a huge problem. The one who orchestrated the plan to attack my pack was still out there.“Found him,” I heard, Jackson say walking into the house while dragging Rex by the legs. “I also knew the one who attacked Zack would try to finish him off.”I had never been happier to see Jackson.“Shut the gate,” I muttered, staring at the guards.Tonight was a full moon which meant I only had about two hours to get Rex to talk before transforming into my wolf form.Rex would also be transforming. He would be much stronger than he is now.“You will have to kill

SELIORA POV“Someone is here,” I whispered into Kaelion’s ear before slowly peeping into the hospital room.It was Rex.He was in the hospital room to finish what he started just like I had predicted.I could feel Kaelion’s heartbeat race as he leaned towards me and watched Rex make his way slowly towards Zack who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed.I could also feel his anger rising but this was not the time to act. I needed to see if there was anything Rex could do that which give me some clues about why he was doing this.“Stop!” Kaelion growled, rushing out of where we hid as Rex pulled a knife out of his shirt. He immediately gripped Rex’s hand while I watched the scene quietly.“I trusted you, Rex. Why would you betray the pack like this?” Kaelion asked, his voice a bit calmer this time.Rex didn’t look remorseful about what he had done. He only continued to struggle to release the knife in his hands.“Why!” Kaelion barked, finally taking the knife from him and swinging i

SELIORA POVI was completely sure of this. After Jackson had earlier announced Zack had been attacked, I was certain it must have been one of the guards.Back at my pack, there was a way I was able to determine whether a person was telling the truth or lying by listening to the sound of their heartbeats.I did the same to the guards as Jackson interrogated them about the incident. They all had slow and steady heartbeats which told me all I needed to know, they were speaking the truth. This then made me conclude the traitor was a person of a higher rank in the pack. This narrowed my options and left me with two options. Jackson and the head of the pack of soldiers, Rex.Asking Kaelion to call out all of the pack members was a way for me to search Rex’s room. The search was difficult, I had to unlock his room and hurry because he could be back in any minute. For the first two minutes, I kept searching but found nothing that could prove him guilty. Afterwards, I tried to make my way out.

  • SELIORA'S REVENGE; HER COMEBACK   chapter 56

KAELION POVI had nothing to do with what happened to Alpha Thane and since I would really love to explain to Seliora, I had bigger things to worry about.Jackson looked really worried.“The prisoner from the blood moon pack was attacked and almost killed in his cell,” Jackson stated. “I think this might be the same person who attacked Lexi.”“What!” I exclaimed, angrily.Enough was enough.Today was the day I was going to find whoever was doing this. The traitor in the pack had to die today.“How is he?” I asked, storming out of the office angrily with Jackson. “How did the person who did this pass through the guards without being caught?”“He is in the pack hospital. All the guards on duty have been tied down. They all claimed not to know what happened,” Jackson answered. “Whoever did this is not an ordinary pack member, he is someone who nobody would have suspected,” Seliora spoke behind me.“Gather all the pack members, Jackson,” I demanded, as we walked out of the house.Zack co

SELIORA POV“Seliora,” I heard, Kaelion call out to me while my head continued to spin. “Take deep breaths.”“I..do..not..think.. I..can,” I stuttered, running my hands through my hair.I was having an anxiety attack. The last time I had one was when my sister died years ago.“You are all right,” Kaelion said pulling me into a tight embrace while I just remained there. After a few minutes, I managed to calm down.“You good now?” He asked, breaking the hug.“Yes,” I replied, walking over to the phone which was still on the table.“Why..Father?” I asked, as my hands trembled. He has broken my trust in him. Not only that, I wondered if he was ever going to tell me the truth that Kaelion didn't threaten to kill me.He lied without hesitation.“Forgive me, Seliora. I will make sure to come get you,” He replied.“I said Why?” I yelled, picking up the phone. “You did this to our pack, you ruined everything. I defended you with all I had in me.”“It’s complicated, Seliora. I had to do it bec
