Alexander’s Pov

I woke up the next morning, with a small smile and frown on my face. It was strange that I felt both happy and sad at the same time, but there didn’t seem to be anything I could do about it.

Amelia was sleeping beside me, with a peaceful look on her face and a small smile as well.

For the next couple of minutes, I remained on the bed and gazed at her intently, with memories of every moment we shared together making way into my brain.

I giggled softly and removed the hairs that were scattered all around her face.

She swirled around at that point and opened her eyes. She made to jerk up, but I pinned her to the bed and reminded her that it was just me.

“Don’t be scared…it’s me, your Alexander”, I said in a voice that sounded like a whisper while she finally recoiled back and relaxed, with a small smile on her face.

“Are you that scared?” I inquired, searching through her eyes as though the answer to my question was there.
